“great hotel in seattle”
this was my third trip to seattle and the first at Hotel Alexis. We were suitably impressed by the service level of the staff (Particulary Cody - hes new to the Hotel but went out of his was to assist us). Win receptions were a nice touch and the bookstore lounge was great (amazing selection of single malt scotches). It does not have all the amenities of Hotel 1000 across the street however it is an amazing value for the price.
“Outstanding experience!”
This hotel is outstanding and true to the Kimpton service experience. This trip was a very special occassion for us and the front desk staff went out of their way to make it memorable. Great location, great staff, beautiful accommodations. We will be back!
“Beautiful hotel!”
The hotel is lovingly cared for - you can tell by how clean everything is, the quality of the service and friendliness of the staff. Location was great and the hotel restaurant and bar had good food and drinks and both were pretty inexpensive. All in all great hotel!! The only negative comment i have is that the closet space and bathroom storage is a little small, but that is pretty minor given all the great things about this hotel. I would definitely go back! Also I am not a pet person and this hotel is pet friendly but I would never have known there were pets allowed! (which is a good thing for non pet people!)
“A dream boutique hotel”
This hotel is in a prime location! Right in the center of the market. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Everything about our stay was absolute luxury. Walking in, the lobby was small but very impressive, the decor is stunning. The staff was all smiles and very friendly and totally accommodating to every request. We stayed in a premier suite and it was very spacious. A living room with a sectional sofa and big flat screen TV, and a huge master suite with beautiful furniture and yet another big flat screen TV. Our room even had a wood burning fireplace, very romantic :) The room also had adorable His & Hers animal print robes for us to use hanging in the closet and there was even a complimentary umbrella (for the rainy Seattle weather). I don't know if we will ever have the opportunity to travel to Seattle again, but if we did I would definitely INSIST that we stay in the Alexis again. I cannot say enough good things :) They really thought of everything!
“Polite, dog friendly, older hotel.”
I enjoyed my stay. The rooms are old, but are re-decorated to be more contemporary. My room was upgraded to a king suite and had a small balcony that over looked the street. If the rooms could improve anything, it would have to be a need for more storage space (counter space) in the bathroom. To save space and make the bathrooms appear larger, small pedestal sinks are used but don't leave any space for stuff like your tooth brush, combs, or w/e. Still nice place, I didn't get a chance to eat or drink there... but it was nice to see the hotel was dog friendly.
“Impressed”
Great location near Pikes Market and the water and downtown. 2 blocks from light rail to airport. Great staff, great hotel!
“Great service, clean and comfortable rooms, excellent location - When can I go back?”
Excellent hotel if you want to stay in the downtown area. Can't beat the location, character and service of this hotel. I have stayed at a few Kimpton properties and they are always top-notch. The Alexis is where I would stay again in a heartbeat. Beds were comfortable, rooms very clean and service was impeccable.
“Epitome of Class and Convenience”
From the get-go this hotel exudes class in appearance and service. Every staff member we encountered was polite and our requests were handled rapidly. They made our stay extremely pleasurable. The hotel has elegant decor, is clean, and quiet. As for convenient location, is doesn't get a whole lot better than staying here. A few blocks in any direction there is entertainment whether it be Pike Street Market, the Seattle Art Museum, the waterfront, or both major sports stadiums. Despite the higher room price, the benefits outway the costs by far. We will definitely stay at The Alexis in the future.
“Down the drain”
Too expensive for the quality. Toilet would not flush. Other shower drainage problems. Would not go back.
“One of the worlds's leading hotels”
The Kimpton chain always lives up to and way beyond expectations! Our extremely well appointed room was massive by any standards, with lots of pleasant original art work and sculptures. The bathroom was bigger than some hotel rooms we have stayed in and included a jacuzzi for two, small sofa, shower, and generous sink area. Hotel is convenient to all downtown and Pike Street Market. Happy hour in the lobby gives a chance to relax over generous pourings of wine. Dog friendly. Food quality for breakfast was extremely high with very fresh cooked items, excellent bacon, sausage, real corned beef hash, lovely omletes.
