“SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY”
Super friendly staff of very old home and attachments on a beautiful street in the historic district. Wine and cheese in the late afternoon, and dessert and coffee should not be missed. Breakfast buffet was most appealing, and certainly met our needs. We always enjoy interacting with other guests at B&B's .... we seem to be a subset of travelers who enjoy the B&B experience, and meeting other people. We plan to return to Savannah, and will definitely be staying here.
“Wonderful Hotel”
A wonderful hotel! Located in the heart of the Historic District, a perfect location for a visit to Savannah. The hotel is small, a historic landmark. The room was small, but perfectly comfortable. The staff was exceptional. A cooked breakfast, served in the patio/garden, was delicious each morning - Virginia's hash browns and hotcakes were worth getting up for!
“Great location, awesome staff”
IWeb Leo.ved this B&B and plan ro return. Best possible location, friendly and helpful staff, great hospitality!
“Can't wait to go back”
Our stay at tis fantastic B&B has been a great experience. The location is perfect and the service is attentive and very helpful. Breakfasts are very good, and every day there is a complimentary wine and cheese hour at the end of the afternoon, followed by a dessert selection after dinner. Menus of local restaurants are available in the common room. I can't wait to go back for a longer stay. Enjoy!
“Congenial guests, lovely home”
This was not the most elegant of all the historic hotels we visited, but it was one of the most pleasant. The breakfast was simple but adequate. The room was bigger and brighter than we anticipated and overlooked a tree-shaded brick-paved street with great view of all the Halloween activity outside at night (including modified hearses taking vistors on ghost tours.) The town house furniture was appropriately comfortable and paintings/sculptures resembled those from the 18th and 19th centuries. Other guests shared a bit of their daily 'finds' in old Savanna over two social gatherings: one for wine in the afternoon and one for coffee/dessert around 8:30pm. Both of these events were a lot of fun!
“I would go back there in a heart beat and plan to do so,”
They were all very accommodating but Kevin was by far the leader of the pack. He made us feel welcome from the very moment we arrived. Thank you Kevin.
“Looking Forward to My Return!”
The Eliza Thompson House is located on a beautiful street-convenient to everything and the neighborhood is very safe. The happy hour is wonderful, as is the breakfast. Beautiful courtyard. Finally, Kevin and Brandon were fantastic-very welcoming. Will definitely return-soon!
“Will stay there again, wonderful place. Everyone was so nice and helpful.”
Beautiful place to stay. Everyone was so helpful and nice. The breakfast was great. I will stay again.
“Wanted To Stay”
Wonderful welcoming staff around the clock. The "hot" breakfast, especially dining in the garden, started each day off in a relaxed vacationing spirit. Late afternoon wine and appetizers along with evening deserts and coffee were a grand touch socializing in the sitting room. We took three walking tours and two of them ended 2 blocks from our B & B. The residence was certainly well located. We will retun!
“Peaceful get away location”
Great hotel staff!! Kevin was the most multi tasking individual I have ever seen! Great B&B experience with all the organized meeting times for guest to mingle. Stayed in the common room till almost 11pm just visiting with some other guest. My only complaint is that the maids were yelling to one another from the courtyard to the upper floors. Can you get those gals some walkie talkies? Some guest like to sleep in. Overall, I didn't want to leave and can't wait to return.
