“Excellent Savannah Trip!!!”
We were looking for a hotel in the historic district that was reasonably priced. This hotel was fantastic. The staff was very friendly and answered all of our questions. This hotel provides a great breakfast and even reading material and family games for guests. The free shuttle picks you up on the next street. There is a restaurant located 1 block away called the Crystal Beer Parlor. The food was fantastic. The price was great! My children even loved the food. They had a large selection on the menu. By far the best place we ate. All others were overpriced. Please keep in mind that the parking garage across from the hotel does not have a daily fee but will max at $10. They are also closed on weekends so its best to get the parking pass from the hotel on the weekend. Free parking on the streets after 5:30 but beware that on Tybee Island the fees are enforced 24/7. City Market is within walking distance. It looks far way on the local maps but is really only about 6 short blocks. I can't compliment this hotel enough. We were very pleased. Its in a great location! We will definitely stay there again.
“Will definitely stay here again!!!”
The hotel was conviently located to many sites. The breakfast was especially good!! If I am able to return to Savannah, I am sure I will stay here.
“Great Hotel, Great Price!”
This hotel was beautiful! In a good location and very clean. Only thing -- we got into town early, around 10 am, and wished to check-in. The staff told us a room would be ready by 12 the latest. We waited, went out, came back, waited, went out, came back and there was still no room available. We finally got one around 5 pm -- 2 hours after check in time. So, if you are looking to roll in early, this hotel might not be for you! Other than that... FANTASTIC!
“Very good location, value, and super friendly staff!”
Loved the location, and was so surprised at the hotel! Very nice, room was big, clean and comfortable. Will be back for sure.
“Independence Day 2011”
The hotel is located in a great location within walking distance to all the attractions in Savannah. Very comfortable beds, nice to have a microwave oven and a refrigerator in the room and free WIFI access. The hotel workers were also very helpful and nice. We will definatly syat at your hoted in Independence day 2012.
“Looking foward to going back to Savanna.”
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff was very helpful in helping to pick tours. The free shuttle stops across the street and takes you all over the historic district. Breakfast had a good selection for any taste.Enjoyed that coffee and tea were available all day.
“you'll be happy here!”
This hotel will meet all your needs! If you're looking for a historic property, this is not it. But if you want modern convenience and a good location, you've got it here. The breakfast is great with good variety, and is included. There is a city parking garage right across the street that is very accessible and worth the daily fee. Much better than depending on a valet. Location is near the Talmadge Bridge end. We walked down to River Street and all the way to the other end and back and it wasn't a difficult walk. We also made several other walks on other days, one to explore the squares and take in the City Market and the shops on Broughton Street. You can walk to the Savannah Theatre, also, which is a must do while in Savannah! Now that I think about it, we were not aware of any so called "bums" or street people while out walking around----very pleasant weekend!
“really pleased”
convenient location,awesome homey feeling rooms,marble bathroom sinks,comfy beds,yummy breakfast,covenient parking!
“Great Hotel for the Price”
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Great location. The concierge on site was very helpful and knowledgable. I would recommend and stay here again... Great hotel.
“Great experience & the best pillows ever!”
The hotel staff was warm and welcoming. Patty at the Concierge desk was especially knowledgeable and accommodating. Hint: the Dot is a good transportation resource, and it's free. But watch for times posted on the sign at stops... the Dot stop nearest the hotel doesn't begin service until 11:30 a.m. Good idea to buy a 1-day trolly tour and travel by Dot on subsequent days. We boarded the Old Town Trolly with Angel as our guide - she was fabulous! Crystal Tavern is a "locals" establishment near the hotel; good food, interesting brews, and a breath of fresh air for young and old alike. Our first trip to Savannah was a great experience.
