“Great value for our overnight stay”
This hotel provided a great value for our stay in the Soo. It wasn't my first choice but other hotels were already booked. It turned out to be just fine. The bathroom was small as others have said, but adequate. We had a room with two queen beds, one was pretty soft, the other hard. Pillows were very thin, but two more pillows were available in our room already, so we were okay. Breakfast included waffles, bread for toasting (peanut butter, jelly, and butter available), boiled eggs, two cereal choices, instant oatmeal, mini muffins, and fresh apples. There was Folgers coffee, hot chocolate packets, tea bags, and apple and orange juice. There was a computer in the lobby for customer use. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Located next door to the police dept. A little traffic noise, but not too bad. Walls were thin, I am glad we were on the second floor. I would stay again for a one night stay, longer than that, I like a pool and more breakfast choices.
“helpful staff”
The hotel itself was ok maybe a little run down. The staff went out of their way to help me out during my staff. My car broke down and I had to take a bus home. The staff let me stay in the lobby after I check out waiting for the bus.
“Satisfied travelers.”
As it was the American Holiday coming up and we were coming from Canada for my Aunt's Funeral and needed a room real quick for a night, this was about the least expensive hotel room we could find. What wasn't in the room though was a fridge as I had to bring my own special meals with me and using the ice bucket did not cut it, as I was having to start a fast for an upcoming medical procedure. The room did have a rocker recliner to sit in and watch television which was a nice feature. Overall the place was nice. We would stay there again.
“Hotel was Ok”
The hotel was adequate for the price. I usually prefer to stay in a more upscale facilities, but this is what was available in the area.
“Basic”
Very friendly people. Hotel full and noisy. Cleaned up glass all over bathroom when lens over shower unexpectedly fell to floor at 12:30 a.m.
“Carpet was very sticky and dirty. The room smelled bad when we walked in.”
Opened windows to rid smell out of room. The hotel was booked full. For breakfast not enough tables. Hotel was booked solid. Labor Day weekend! Not enough tables for breakfast. had to wait or take it back to our room.
“Wouldn't stay here again”
hotel rooms were tiny - had stayed at a microtel in appleton and that was small or so I thought until I stayed here there was no room in the bathroom at all very small room!! Next time will pay a little more to get a bigger room at a different hotel - I thought all super 8's had pools - this one does not!
“only if nothing else is available”
average hotel at best, little or no hot water at 8am, noisy with all the snow machines racing around, sink took along time to drain, all in all not a very pleasant stay, it was a cheap price and you got what you payed for.
