“Bike Week Stay”

There were some reviews I had read about this hotel that weren't that good, so I wasn't expecting much. However, I was very happy with my stay. The room was very clean. The people provided me with good information about the area which was convenient to many amenities. I would stay here again.

“very close to downtown Saratoga”

We were pleasantly surprised with the Grand Union. It was by far the least expensive place to stay in the downtown area. It has been recently refurbished, new bathroom etc. Not a lot of perks (no hairdryer or fridge), but there was a cont breakfast, and staff was very friendly and helpful.

“Surprisngly great/clean room”

Arrived late, but check-in was no problem. The room and bathroom were extremely nice (much better than I expected). The owner was very nice and accomodating

“A Pleasant surprise”

A little different from what we expected but totally fine. Management was responsive to our notice of a slow shower drain. The room was very clean and the bathroom and shower was really nice. The pool on a warm summer day was clean and refreshing. Breakfast was a little sparse but the coffee was hot, even if the pastry was not.

“Very Satisfied!”

Very Clean. Nice Bathrooms. Great Price. Nice bed and furniture. Free WIFI! They also let you keep your bike under the awning so it doesn't get wet. That was nice. Diner with hot waitresses literally 100yards away. Gas Station and Auto repair also right next door. PERFECT!

“Got what I paid for.......”

I had no real issues with the Hotel. I got what I paid for and I was fine with it. I wish they had a Refrigerator in the room but I was only there for two nights so therefore it didn't make or break my experience.

“Nice place to stay the night”

Clean, affordable and friendly staff. Stayed one night and had nothing to complain about. The walls were a little thin but did not impact us.

“nice place”

saw the review after i book and thought the place was going to be a dive....wrong room was clean staff and owner were all very friendly,the wife said only thing missing was a hair dryer....but other wise i will def stay there again worth the price....again staff was fun and friendly

“Very pleasantly surprised”

Upon arrival, we were surprised to find a movie being shot at the hotel's pool. While this caused minor parking inconveniences (and we weren't able to use the pool), it was fun to see and more importantly the producers' choice showed the quality of the hotel. One comment, however: some guests were not as happy as we were to put up with the minor inconvenience... the hotel management should have told guests upon reservation (rather than arrival) of the movie shoot.

“Value for the Dollar”

you get a little more than what you pay for here. accommodating, quiet, nothing fancy fills the need. spacious parking, swimming pool, and spa. just down the road from downtown restaurants and nightlife. near both tracks and casino. what else do you need?
