Great resort on the beachPosted 11-Apr-2014
Pros: proximity to beach and St. Armand's Circle
LBK Club is a fantastic resort. The hotel staff is great, very helpful and gracious. The beautiful beach is steps away and supplied with lounge chairs, umbrellas, and cabana lounges. The water was delightful even warm enough to swim in April. I would highly recommend this hotel/resort. It is well worth it.

Very nice room on the beachPosted 30-Mar-2014
This is a beautiful rental on the beach . We were greeted with great hospitality by the entire staff. The Murphy bed is just ok waking up and sleeping to the cool breeze and sounds of the ocean overcame any discomfort of the Murphy bed. I strongly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a low key experience.

Nice quiet hotel next to the beach.Posted 5-Mar-2014
We arrived late, but it wasn't an issue...very easy to find our key packet and checked in with the front desk in the morning. We stayed in a studio with a murphy bed, which we were a little leery as to what the comfort would be like. To our surprise it was very comfortable! Loved that this place was not in a busy, "touristy" location...would come back again.

Comfortable condoPosted 5-Jan-2014
Very nice condo - fully appointed. Our only disappointments were that (1) you can't really see the beach from the first floor, and (2) the bedroom is in the back so you can't hear the waves. Otherwise, very nice stay.

We will return!! :)Posted 20-Aug-2013
Pros: CLEAN, nice staff, excellent location and QUIET!!!! perfect getaway with all of the conveniences you could ask for !!! A+ extra pillows were nice too
Cons: cleaning the pool more regularly, I would love to see an in-room safe to store your valuables or personal belongings.
Location: Publix was .09 miles away for shopping. CVS and other stores in the same plaza.. great location :)
Family of 6 (3 teens. 1 toddler & 2 adults) ... we visited the weekend before the kids returned to school and had an awesome time. Small building so it was not crowded at all. 3 different times we went to the pool and no one else was there (although the pool could have used a good vacuum as there was some sand on the bottom and a few floating leaves and other things our entire stay) .. The staff was extremely polite and provided everything we needed and asked for :) the room was updated with nice appliances and very clean linens, bathrooms were clean and even provided shampoo, lotion, soap, dishwasher pellets, 1 small box of TIDE for a load of laundry and full kitchen supplies including utensils & papers towels! everything we needed was readily available and made our visit very pleasant :D I love that this is right on the beach which is literally only a few steps off the pool. They also provide umbrellas and chairs for you to use on the beach! EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE! we stayed in room 101 which is a 1 bd 2 bath with a den. plenty of space for all of us. FYI the den is between the bedroom/bath and the living room/bath/kitchen area. It was really like a 2nd bedroom because it had a closet (and a couch/sleeper sofa but with doors opening to both sides of the unit. This unit has a lanai that has direct gate access to the pool just steps away. I liked this fefature because i could let the kids swim in the pool and I was able to see and hear them while i was cooking in the kitchen

Decent and beachfront but wouldnt stay here againPosted 14-Aug-2013
Pros: Liked the location def private beach front & they had umbrellas&chairs for guests
Cons: pool maintenance and matress
Location: Close to St Ahrmands circle loved that also close to Anna MAria Island not too far from Siesta Key
This hotel is fine not great staff not very helpful as I called to request an upper evel room 2 weeks before our arrival and we were a late arrival so we got stuck in the back corner, which I had read on the reviews prior to leaving so I called and even told them this was why I was requesting an upper level room went to the office the next morning request again denied , the WIFI never worked the entire time,we also asked for a late checkout and were denied without any help or suggestion from the front desk lady on any of these issues The bed is a murphey not comfy at all worse than a hideabed but the kitchen was nice full size fridge and stove with dishwasher Room was set up really weird Pool was a little dirtytoo

It's all about location!Posted 25-Jul-2013
Pros: The proximity to the beach
Cons: Small room and sketchy Murphy bed
Location location location! That's what this place is all about. It is right on the beach at about the midpoint of longboat key. The beach is super, water v warm. The hotel pool is tiny but nice. And the hotel is about five min drive from grocery store and tons of restaurants - the Mar Vista is great and right on the water about ten min drive away. BUT- the room is small. The bed in the one we had folds down out of the wall. And u have to move the furniture around to do it. Then u r pretty much blocked off as it takes upmost of the floor. The full kitchen is nice but u have to listen to fridge hum all night. And if, as my daughter and I did, u have a family w whiny babies next door, forget about sleeping in as the walls r super thin. The hotel is just 15 rooms or so so it is cozy and pretty quiet. But the office closes at five so if u n eyed anything at all - like directions somewhere, forget it. Wifi was included tho so u. Can find stuff that way. Bottom line, great beach location w nice but no frills smallish rooms. But boy o boy the beach is nice :)

perfect location BE CAREFUL ABOUT ROOM YOU CHOOSEPosted 28-Apr-2013
Location: quiet and relaxing
we were booked into the "hotel room" which was not repeat not as described in expedia!!!!! the room number was 220 and was a very small room with no view of the sea and no balcony. we paid an extra 150 pounds to be upgraded to a room with a murphy bed and a patio.we were lucky!!! the reason I picked this hotel was that someone had said it was ideal to just cook your steak, open your bottle of wine and enjoy the sunset...we did this for 4 days and it was wonderful....if you just wanted a BED and that is all then 220 is ok for you. NOT IN MY CASE!!

The BeachPosted 1-Apr-2013
We enjoyed our stay at The Beach. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room was small which was fine for the two of us, but the fold out bed did not face the tv which was disappointing. The kitchen was nice and the shower good also. There is not alot to do around this area. You have to drive 3 or 4 miles to find a restaurant. The beach access was great and the beach itself was beautiful and quiet.
