Location is unconvinient (you need to walk 10min, wait the bus and do 15 min ride to Fira). Hotel on a main road with some noise. People are very kind and helpfull, they give us a lot of usefull information. From the Ferry port you need to take a taxi (30euros).

Excelente servicio
Highly recommended, excellent hosts and owners. They gave us the best welcome, María and Barbara explained to us in detail what to do on the island and helped us by contacting a company to rent a scooter. During the stay they always gave us a smile and a kind gesture. We requested transportation to the airport and Michael will take us for free, very grateful.

A great find
This hotel is in a traditional Santorini village, away from the hustle and bustle, but with many amenities at walking distance. The bus stop to kamari/fira was at 10 mins walk. The pool area was great. Most breakfast items were freshly made each morning which was fantastic, there was though a slight lack of variety. However i prefer fewer options that are fresh. The only downside of this hotel is its location beside a busy road. I'd go back to stay in a heartbeat!!

Service was very good. Room was clean and tidy. Nice pool, cool and refreshing. Able to catch buses close by although they were sometimes to full to board. Allow extra time if you are going to port. Overall a pleasant stay and a reasonable price for Santorini.

We loved the decor of the hotel and the pool area. There is not much in the general area so you do need to travel to find nice restaurants etc however this isn’t an issue if you’re confident using the buses (although these can be unreliable) or if you have your own form of transport. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come again!

We really liked our stay at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful, room was small but clean and well maintained. Food service was very good and available from morning to night. It was nice to cool off in the pool at the end of a hot day. Hotel is far from most attractions, but but service is readily available within short walking distance.

Lovely stay - our room was very comfortable and clean and we loved the design of the hotel. We had lunch in the restaurant on the last day and it was delicious and Michalis was very helpful with tips for visiting the island.

Great escape from tourist craze
Service was phenomenal, would recommend renting a vehicle to get around the island as most of the attractions are 15-30 minute drive away and bussing can be somewhat unreliable. Overall very happy with our stay.

We arrived and soon realized we were very far away from anything. The hotel is kind of in the "suburbs", and you either need a taxi, the bus, or be willing to walk a pretty strenuous hike to get to anything. The bus stop was right outside, but the bus system on the island is a bit confusing. The AC shuts off every time the door is opened which was frustrating when one of us wanted to leave or go outside. There was spotty hot water for showers, it either worked well or not at all. The wifi in the room did not work at all. We had to purchase data from our cell company. The pool was very nice.

Dear Joshua the hotel is located at Vothonas, and as it being written and showed on the google maps it is only 3km away from Fira( the city) . You choose the hotel because you would like be close to the airport and close to the port due to you wanted to go from one place to the other. If you wanted to be in the city it was very clear to you that you had to book a room In Fira. The bus system is not that diffycult every hour comes to Vothonas Bus stop that is right outside the hotel, every 20 minutes from the bus stop of Messaria that is 800 metre away. The AC shuts after 30 seconds every time that you open the door or the window, so i suposse you needed more time than 30 seconds to get off or in the room and shut the door. During the less than 1 day that you spend in my place you didn`t mentioned any problem for the wifi or the water. You only contact me at the reception to mention that tthe AC was not working, which you actually tried to use it with the window open. Wish you the best Michael

Almost perfect
Just got back from a brilliant 4 night stay here and it was almost perfect. Lovely and helpful staff picking me up and taking me back to the airport, 10 minutes away from shops, bars and bus stops, big room with balcony and air conditioning, a fridge and it is absolutely brilliantly priced! Only thing I would love to see improved is having a shower holder fitted into the wall so I wouldn’t have to hold the shower head, replace the shower curtain with a screen so it is more hygienic and also maybe a couple of plates, forks, knives and glasses since my room had a fridge.

An awesome experience and stay at greece kalisperi
This is not a 2 star but a 3 star hotel. Top quality cleanliness, facility n conveniently situated to city and beaches. All staff were friendly and obliging. I recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a stress free place to stay.

Great hotel. Clean and quiet with a nice pool. Michael picked me up from the airport at no charge as my flight arrived very late at night. There was good wifi in the rooms. Only con was the location, but buses into town were fast and regular

Beautiful room and excellent service
We had an exceptional stay at Hotel Kalisperis. After another hotel (Angel Studios) cancelled on us at last minute, this hotel took us in and it couldn't have been a better experience. The hotel manager, Michael, was friendly and professional and gave us excellent advice on what to see and do in our short time in Santorini. The location is about 10 minutes walk from the bus stop at Messaria and it was a very quick bus to Fira. The pool was lovely and room spotlessly clean with great air conditioning and one of the best beds I've ever slept on. We ended up staying an extra night because we didn't want to leave. Would definitely stay again if visiting Santorini!

Nice hotel with excellent staff
The hotel staff is very kind and helpful. He contacted me by email one day prior to my arrival to tell me about the transportation, and helped me a lot during my stay. He even drove me to the airport for free on the last day. The room is quite large, with all basic stuffs as well as WiFi, air-conditioning (which is quite strong), a fridge, and a balcony. There is also a swimming pool on the ground floor. The room is basically clean and comfortable. The only bad things are that the hot water isn't stable at mid-night, the network is not that fast (but OK for surfing web), and it can be noisy at night since the hotel is at the roadside. It depends on your purpose to say if the hotel location is good or not. If you are to visit only Oia or Fira for 1-2 days, then the hotel is not that close to your destinations (have to take a bus from the hotel to Fira, and another bus from Fira to Oia). However, if you are going to travel around in Santorini for, say 4-5 days, the hotel located well since it is exactly in the middle of the island. There is bus arriving just outside the hotel (Vothonas) hourly, and a few other buses arriving Mesaria which is walk-able from the hotel. So it would be convenient for you to travel anywhere on the island. I will say that the hotel is really good to stay and I really recommend anyone to stay in this hotel, especially for those who want a long stay in Santorini. There are disadvantages but acceptable due to its good service and low price.

Front rooms are noisy because they are on the main road, however the owner was cooperative and changed our room without any problems. Rooms are basic, but clean. There's air condition. There isn't a restaurant, so we had to go out to eat. We were picked up from the airport which was convenient. The bed was not very comfortable. It's far away from the beach but easy to catch a bus.

Very helpful with airport transfers, recommending attractions and tours (and booking them for you). Small pool is well maintained and clean, but loungers in need of clean/tidy (could just be end of season). Room very clean, with fresh towells and sheets every couple of days, but shower and curtain in need of update and same with bedroom wardrobe, which had seen better days.

It is a family run business and they are very friendly and really helpful. On the first day we were picked up by Michael and he pointed out places/tours to visit. It is a good budget place to go, you get what you pay for. All buses go to Fira so you have to go to Fira to then get buses to ) other places but there is a direct bus from Messaria to Kimara. There is a Carrefour and bakery nearby. Also a nice cafe that do smoothies during the day and kebabs at night! Overall, enjoyed our stay!

A perfect landing spot to begin-
This is a perfect hotel for a late arrival or early departure as it is close to the airport. Not a fancy hotel however, clean and kind support staff. The price point is fair. There are some great restaurants just a walk down the hill and the bus stop is 200 meters away. From there you can begin your exploration.

The hotel staff are great, speaking several languages. The pool is small, but never got crowded during our stay. The hotel is roughly 10 minutes from Fira and 30 minutes from Oia by quad bike. There is a scooter/quad bike rental store just down the street from which we got a quad for €120 for five days, the lowest powered scooter would be about 60 I think and they have a whole range of more powerful ones. Messaria contains a medium sized supermarket and some smaller minimarts which are open late, there's also a wonderful family run taverna a little way after the scooter rental, they had a better Greek salad or souvlaki than anywhere else that we went to, including some very pricey places in Oia and the service was by far the best that we experienced. As for the negatives, the wifi signal is weak in the rooms, we went to the foyer or the patio, which was perfectly fine for us, but it was almost unusable in the room. The shower is very small and the curtain couldn't keep the water in unless we were very careful. The TV has five or so Greek language channels, there's nothing in English. These things were minor though, for such a cheap hotel we weren't expecting much beyond the basics, and they delivered that along with lovely service and great recommendations. There may be better places, but if on a budget, you can't go wrong with Hotel Kalisperis.

Great hospitality and costumer service!
Michael was great, he emailed me after I booked my room to give me instructions how to get to the hotel from the port. He went above and beyond giving me sugestions on what to visit in the island and even helped me booking my flight when I was having troubles doing it on my phone and took me to the airport. The hotel is not a 5 star resort but it's very clean and comfortable at a very affordable price. I would definitely come back on my next trip to Santorini.

From the moment we arrived at the Hotel Kalisperis we were warmly greeted, had all of our inquiries answered, and were shown to our room. All the staff went out of there way to make sure were on the right buses to other parts of the Santorini and even brought us by personal car to a bus stop on the last day. The breakfast was perfect and we were able to enjoy it overlooking the pool as we basked in the Santorini sun.

Needed a last minute inexpensive hotel. This fit the bill at $50. Small and in need of repair but incredibly helpful staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make our stay be a good one. Also had surprisingly fast free wifi.

Wonderful family hotel for a great price.
This is a wonderful hotel for the economically minded traveler. The hotel was very clean and Michael was extremely helpful in planning out an itinerary for our short stay. The pool was clean and well kept. We would definitely recommend this hotel, an exceptional property for the price!
