While the address of the apartment complex was easy to find once you get to the concierge desk, the people there had very little english and were quite unwilling to help. Once we worked out we needed to go to an apartment in order to collect our key, the gentleman there was nice and showed us to our apartment.
Great location, close to 2 subway stations, Mercado Central, Plaza de Armas. Not the most upscale part of town, but quite accessible to the rest of the city because of the subways.
Little nervous walking around in the dark.
The staff is amazing - they are very accommodating and very helpful.
The floors aren't swept so it's a little dusty, and there is no air conditioning, so it gets very hot but the service makes up for it.
This is actually not an hotel. It is an apartment. Great location. Very central and close to great restaurants. I liked it a lot because it has everything you need to be comfortable. The apartment is almost new. The downside there is no hotel personnel or any hotel like services.

Right in the Lastarria exclusive district, Mela Blu Apartments offer excellent furnished accommodations in Santiago, Chile …More
Actually they rent you an apartment or flat, this is not really a hotel. But the apartment is very confortable and it has the essential tools for a good stay, the kitchen is great, and the furniture is confy, I recommend this "apart-hotel" for those who like autonomy. Thie location is fantastic near the most interesting neighbourhoods in Santiago, Bellavista and Lastarria. It has direct acces to the Universidad de Chile subway station. The metro train in Santiago is a great and cheap way of trasportation.
We were greeted by Angel who was extremely helpful in getting us settled and solving minor problems -ie suitable plug adapter, directions. The apartment was compact, but all we needed. The bed was very comfortable. We could walk to our favourite places: Plaza De Armas, Saint Lucia Hill, Central Market, Catedral Metropolitana, pedestrian streets, and many more places. They sell Hop On Bus tickets which was a great way to get introduced to the city. There was a large indoor pool on the roof of tower D. Our view was of the courtyard, but many suites had outside views.
