Santa Cruz Vacations
Santa Cruz is situated approximately 90 miles (145 kilometers) southwest of Santiago, the national capital.
While you are here, visit the Museo de Colchagua. Another is the Plaza de Armas.
Visiting this popular part of the country is about discovering new things, so why not take to the road and tour a few of the other charming towns and cities in the vicinity of Santa Cruz. If you're looking for other places to check out, you'll find San Fernando, 20 miles (32 kilometers) to the west, and Marchihue 20 miles (32 kilometers) to the southeast.
Talca, is another interesting place to visit. It is 60 miles (97 kilometers) from Santa Cruz and offers a number of interesting visitor attractions, such as Museo O'Higginiano, Reserva Nacional Radal Siete Tazas and Plaza de Armas. Villa Cultural Huilquilemu, University of Talca and Vina Balduzzi are some more attractions here that should be on every visitor's schedule.
True travel involves so much more than simply taking in the sights, it's also about the poetry, song and story of a place. Your stay in O'Higgins will become all the more rewarding if you take the time to try a few useful words and phrases in Spanish. "¿Querría bailar conmigo?" ("Would you like to dance with me?") is a handy phrase to remember. One more interesting one is "Este caballero pagará por todo" (This gentleman will pay for everything).
At the end of your stay in Santa Cruz, use your last Chilean pesos on last minute keepsakes and say Adiós (farewell).
