“Charming Solvang get a way”

The staff was polite and helpful, just wanted to please us. I love the rooms were decorated with antique type furniture, and the rooms were very spacious. We went for Valentines Day and the special 4 course dinner paired with different wines just for the guests of the hotel was reasonable and far more than we expected. Over all we had a wonderful experience and will return.

Just a suggestion for the hotel. they need to redo carpeting as it bunches up especially by elevators and can be dangerous. Otherwise we Just love it love it. Food outstanding and prices excellent!

“Best on the Strip”

This is a lovely, what I would consider "upscale" inn with a beautiful ambiance. The rooms are well appointed with classical music playing in the lobby and hallways. The continental breakfast is great and the service is impeccable.

“A delightful experience”

The Petersen Village Inn was perfectly situated, within easy walking distance of all Solvang's stores, wine tasting bars and restaurants. It was also just a few minutes from Los Olivos and Alisol Guest Ranch, where I visited. The young women who worked at the front desk were friendly, courteous and attractive. And one of the young men who worked at the hotel wasvery helpful in directing me to one of my destinations. My room was immaculate, my bed comfortable. I would not hesitate to stay at the Petersen Village Inn again and I would highly recommend it to friends and family.

“Petersen's -- Solvang”

Excellent hotel, beautifully furnished, great location, fabulous service. Free wine tasting included, free breakfast. Easy walking to many restaurants and quaint shops. Fast becoming famous as center for wineries and vineyards. Can't go wrong.

“Decent older hotel, a little expensive for the overall bells and whistles”

Nice older hotel in Solvang. A little pricey considering the amenities, but good location.

“Location, location, location”

The Peterson Inn is located right next to all the neat shops and pubs in the area. Hotel was quiet, a bit dark indoors, and basic rooms had French style decor (i.e. a painting), but no in room refrigerator or mini-bar. Continental breakfast included hot hard boiled eggs, sliced cheese, (packaged) ham, pastries, and juice/coffee. Small but lovely breakfast room. They also offered dinner for guests. Depending on type of reservation, you may or may not pay additional for dinner. Place could use some modern touches or updated/newer furniture, but otherwise fine. No swimming pool or spa, but a really great location for walking around Solvang. Note: a hand-towel was placed in the tub for use as a bath mat, and another towel was on the floor for a floor mat. This was odd. Also, the water was "slippery." Never experienced such a thing, and it was impossible to rinse out all shampoo or even feel squeaky clean after a shower. I would stay here again though for the right price. Furniture & decor should have some updating to be a true 4 star hotel. I would rate the hotel at 3.5 stars.

“Great place to stay in Solvang!”

The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and we really enjoyed the sitting area for reading and watching TV. Staff was efficient and attentative. If we are in the area, we'll go back.
