Good location - Rooms a bit small for the price!Posted 20-Nov-2013
Pros: Location was good.
Cons: Rooms too small
Good hotel with clean comfortable room. Short walk to the pier and center of town. Only negative was the very small room size.

Nice B&B type hotelPosted 7-Nov-2013
Pros: The complimentary breakfast basket with home made banana-nuts bread! WOW. The free bike rental.
Cons: The bed was too soft. I guess it is a question of taste!
Location: Close to the waterfront and minutes of walking from downtown.
The place feels like a home away from home. It is like having a small appartment close to everything in Santa Barbara.

Fun place for a one night sray.Posted 11-Oct-2013
Pros: Funky and fun, great welcome basket.
Location: Close to beach and downtown. Tons of things to do!
Great staff and nice rooms, however rooms are extra small and parking is very difficult.

Charming hotel close to beachPosted 9-Oct-2013
Pros: It was so utterly charming and comfortable and close to the beach.
Cons: A king size bed instead of a queen.
Location: The beach was just a block away and lots of restaurants within walking distance. It was a short drive to the shops on State Street.
The room was very charming and retro. The kitchen was super cute and functional. We had a wonderful welcome basket with homemade banana nut bread, fresh fruit, biscotti, and a variety of juices. They had bicycles to use and chairs/towels for the beach. We most definitely would stay there again.

Home away from homePosted 6-Sep-2013 on Hotels.com
Harbor House Inn was so quaint, cozy, and comfortable, tucked away in a little niche but within very close walking distance to the pier and downtown State St. The staff and management were more than accommodating, and everyone was very friendly there. It feels like a cute little home away from home. I would definitely recommend it, and will stay there again when returning to Santa Barbara. Hands-down best 'hotel' I've ever stayed in.

GREAT HOTELPosted 3-Sep-2013
Pros: We liked the big room, big bathroom, the flowers, and the free bikes
Location: We could walk to the beach and the harbor. There are a lot of restaurants and we enjoyed the pier.
We stayed two nights and were delighted with our room and the lovely flowers everywhere. We especially liked the fresh banana bread and assorted drinks brought to us when we checked in.

I'll be back!Posted 14-Aug-2013
Pros: Use of the bikes, beach supplies, and gift basket.
Cons: Walls a little thin?
Location: One block from the harbor, so easy to use the "beach, bike trail", to ride either north or south. We rode to dinner and for ice cream on State Street
What a great discovery! This was our first time traveling to Santa Barbars on the train. This quaint inn is just a block from the harbor and an easy, 10 minute walk from the train station. The staff was very friendly and helpful with dinner suggestions, within walking distance. The room was clean, quaint, and had plenty of provisions. Since we had no car, we had a great time using the bikes (included with room). Since we had no beach provisions, we used the beach chairs and towels (included with room) to go to the beach. Our room had a full size coffee maker, with plenty of coffee, to use throughout the day. The generous, welcoming basket is full of fruit, drinks, and other goodies, including home-made banana bread!
