Starting with the positive: The hotel is clean and in great proximity to State St. The staff were very friendly.
However, I wouldn't quite rate this a 3.5 star hotel. Based on the photos, reviews and initial exterior photos - I was expecting more of a higher end experience. It is more like a well taken care of motel. The internet was not functional, no smart TVs (though they do have a very large selection of DVDs which was nice). They did have a nice bottle of sparking wine or cider awaiting you, free bike rentals. The rate likely reflects the proximity to State St. rather than the star level of hotel (I did have other hotel options that were seemingly on par for this level of hotel, for half the price.). Nothing "bad" about the hotel, just not quite what I was expecting for how much I paid.
