“Found little piece of paradise”

We really enjoyed our 4 days at the resort and would go back in a heart beat. We were there the week between Christmas and New Years. It feels like a getaway to a private location on the beach not just a "hotel" since the grounds are expansive and there are groupings of hotel room buildings separated by lush landscape. We used the spa services - overrated for price even though I expect to pay upcharge for being onsite but just lacking the wow factor. We loved the food in the restaurants but sometimes service was a little slower than we would have expected. Had room service one morning and was great. The rooms are beautiful however we had a room on the first floor which sort of felt like a basement level only because it had very little light with the only light source being a slider that opened to a covered patio enclosed by flora. Since mostly sleeping in room, acceptable but not optimal especially considering the brightness of the grounds. The pools are beautiful and we even enjoyed them in December although mostly the jacuzzi. Everyone we met was very helpful and nice. We went horseback riding at their recommended ranch which was great. We went to a restaurant in Santa Barbara one night which was an easy drive.

“Beautiful Hotel!”

We were attending a wedding at Bacara and instead of driving all the way back home, we decided to splurge and spend the night here. What a great idea, because this is a beautiful hotel set with lush landscaping and wonderful rooms. Although it is a bit expensive to stay here, it is worth it...especially if you can snag a last minute deal!

“This is now my favorite place to stay.”

This is one of the best places to stay if you want to relax and just enjoy ocean. It was about five minutes outside of town and very quite and peaceful. The golf course was a little above average but the views was great and the ocean hole were very good. I am making this a yearly trip.

Not normally the type to stay in resort hotels but this was exceptional in every way!!

“bacara is a knockout!”

we were unexpectedly put in a little casitas which was private and quiet. the grounds are amazing and the hotel is right on the water. while it might have been nice to be closer to the city, i have no complaints about the location. the only negative was at checkout when no one came to pick up our bags as requested, and we had to tote them up the hill to our car. that said, we would go back in a heartbeat.

“Breathtaking”

Absolutely beautiful experience. Gorgeous grounds with winding paths, 2 pools and a hot tub with great views. The spa and workout facility is wonderful. Everyone is very kind and overall, it was the perfect experience. We stayed in one of the newly upgraded buildings so I'm not sure how the others looked but this was beautiful. We will definitely be back. I compare it most to the Montage in Laguna Beach or a much more intimate Grand Wailea on Maui. It is about 20 minutes from the city of SB where most of the restaurants are located but we knew this and were fine with staying at the hotel.

“Loved the exercise classes and fitness/pool”

This was a beautiful place. Great staff. However, it is set up to make everything you do cost hence my $21 cup of weak coffee. Biggest complaint was no coffee maker in room. Therefore need to order in room dining which is very expensive. Just be prepared that there are so many additional fees on top of room. (ex: $27 for parking- but have to have the valet person get it every time so many tips involved also)

“I heart Bacara!”

Absolutely LOVED our stay at Bacara. It is so gorgeous, and they don't neglect a single detail. They were renovating parts of the hotel while we were there, but you really couldn't even tell, other than the large drapes hung up near the pool with images of the beach hiding construction. :) Still, it was obvious they were taking every measure to make their guests comfortable and taken care of. I will definitely come back to Bacara as soon as possible, and would recommend it to everyone - a fabulous place to stay and be pampered!

“Girl's weekend”

Disappointed that our room was not ready upon check-in, we arrived after 5:00pm. It was nice that hotel offered complimentary champagne in bar while we waited. Our room did not have coffee maker.
