The hotel was fine and had a good view. The best thing about our stay, though, was Matthias at reception. He was so welcoming and friendly.

Lovely rooms, outslde area needs improvement.Posted 6-Aug-2014
This place is set up for tourists with cars. Its a 30 minute walk to the centre of town. There are few facilities onsite other than a cafe/bar that serves snacks and closes at 7pm. The pool area could do with a refurb. On the flip side, the rooms themselves are great - well designed and spacious.

Pros: The view, the breakfast.
Cons: The comfort of the bed, bathroom appliances, kitchen cabinets should open.
Location: Beach, lots of shopping, casino, bike riding, exploring different neighboring towns such as Bussana Vecchia
This hotel was pretty standard - nothing spectacular but also not bad. The room could've been in better condition, as the appliances were old and the bathroom fan really loud. I didn't feel that the room furnishings matched the lobby and the outside grounds of the hotel, which were a lot better. One good thing about the rooms is that they boast a spectacular view of the coast.

Lovely looking hotel when you find it. Need satnav and good eyesight to see signs.Don't arrive in the dark. the room was spacious with seaview. However the aircon was not working anywhere in the hotel during the 3 days we were there making being in our room very uncomfortable .Didn't sleep well and hotter and wetter after shower than being in it! Management didn't seem to care. No restaurant.Breakfast staff too busy making coffee to clear tables or replenish food..Local kids seem to use lovely pool.

A wonderfully quiet hotel perched on a hillsidePosted 30-May-2014
Pros: The staff! The staff are very professional and yet friendly and approachable too! I loved the views and the room was fantastic!
Cons: Clearer information about the steep position of the hotel.
Location: The location is part of the attraction as it is away from the town centre and very peaceful.
Firstly, as one approaches the hotel it is clear that it is located in a steep position overlooking the sea and San Remo. The reception area is bright and modern and very welcoming indeed! I found the staff to be very friendly, professional and obliging as well as informative. The hotel has a lift and I have to say how pleased I was with my room! The room was spacious and well appointed with a nice balcony affording privacy as well as excellent views over the vicinity. The hotel is not ideal for those with mobility problems due to the steep location. However, for those seeking peace and quiet and privacy the hotel is perfect! I hope to return to this hotel in the future!

Modern hotel with good facilitiesPosted 21-Oct-2013
It is a difficult hotel to locate with not the best road surface on the way so not a place for supercars. Go elsewhere for dinner unless you like very bright places with a cold feeling. Everything else was great

Very stylish and comfortable.Posted 13-Sep-2013
An unusual and modern hotel with a (pleasant) quirky style, excellent pool and great views. Only problem is finding it. Signs to it were virtually non-existent. Make sure you print off a detailed map of the immediate area before you leave. Once there, it was fine.

Modus Vivendi less than ModestPosted 13-Sep-2013
Cons: Air conditioning should be provided.
Location: It is situated at the top of a hill. The road leading up to it very uneven and full of pot holes. You need a car to go up and down the hotel.
Difficult to find even with GPS. No air conditioning in the room or dining hall. If you have east facing room in the summer you would be woken up by the rising sun around 5 O Clock in the morning and room temperature will rise to quite hot around 7-8 am. To avoid the sun you have to use the solid wooden blinds which does not help the room temperature. No facilities in the room except TV. Wi-fi is disappointing. Bathroom is small with a tiny shower cubicle.

The reseption lost our passports - and then we went to the police, and while we were there the hotel called the police station telling the police that they found our passports. Nice staff, but the lady working there during the day is something special. Watch your passport!
