“Good for families on a budget”
I thought the staff was really helpful and overall for the price the place was not that bad. My only complaint is that it is old and needs some repairs but still it is not a bad place to stay, especially if you are on a budget.
“Great Hotel”
The hotel was great, the staff was great. The room was so comfortable and I enjoyed my stay in Sandusky.
“Good Place to Stay”
This hotel is nothing fancy. However, the staff was very helpful and we had a great trip. The restaurant in the hotel is great and they had great specials. The prices were very affordable. I would recommend this hotel but if you want fancy, this is not for you.
“would definately stay again!”
for the price it cant be beat. the only slight complaint was that no one was waiting at the desk when we arrived around 6pm. we had to wait about 10 mins for someone to check us in, but no big deal overall. it was close to cedar point and the main street with lots to do. right off the highway and next to wal mart. I will definately stay here again!
“Excellent”
The hotel was nice. The staff was very friendly. Check in and check out was extremely quick and easy. Only complaint is the tipical scratchy hotel towels, which is basically every hotel.
“Very nice and quiet and pretty comfortable, but also inexpensive.”
This hotel was perfect for us. We wanted to go to Cedar Point and stay somewhere that was quiet, clean, comfortable, and inexpensive. We stock up on groceries etc to save money as well, so the Walmart within easy walking distance was a big plus. It's not on the Cedar Point property, so if you really need to walk to the park or don't want to stay two miles away for 1/5th the price, this place is not for you. For everyone else, it's great.
“Very nice lobby”
was not a bad hotel for the price.
“Decent Hotel for Price”
This was a good hotel for the price. Staff was accommodating and somewhat helpful. The room was clean and wife and i checked both beds first thing for bed bugs and both mattresses were clean. Never was able to connect to Wi-Fi internet either nights we stayed. The phone in our room also did not work. The shower must have been maintained recently hopefully, because the cold side had very little pressure. Overall the hotel was nice for a place to rest your head and we would stay again.
“Nice Budget Hotel”
I have 4 kids, so we rented two rooms, the hotel staff was very pleasant and the rooms were very comfortable. They were doing renovation on the floor we stayed on, so the paint fumes were strong in the hallways. Plan on eating breakfast elsewhere, if you are a big breakfast eater, as the breakfast spread was limited to mini muffins and coffee. I would stay here again, I think it was a great value for what we paid.
“Great value!”
I had been researching several hotels and for some reason I thought this one had a shuttle service to Cedar Point. Since check in isn't until 3:00 and we wanted to go to the park earlier I called the hotel to ask if we could park in the lot and ride the shuttle then check in later. I spoke with a woman and she told me that it was absolutely fine to do that. So when we arrived the girl at the front desk was on the phone (personal call) but still asked if she could help me. I asked what time the shuttle came and she gave me a funny look, "we don't have a shuttle". So I don't know why the person on the phone the day before told me they did, but no big deal, the park was only a few minutes away. I had requested a King/non smoking room, but ended up with a Double/smoking room (the guest from the prior evening decided to stay). I was not happy about the smoke smell in the room, but after a little while I didn't notice anymore. They allowed us to swim even though the pool was technically closed, which was great since it was sweltering hot that day and we didn't get to ride any water rides. Housekeeping tried to bust through the door before check out time, so I was happy we had the lock on. The area of the hotel was super convenient! Wal-mart within walking distance and plenty of attractions, shopping, and food very close by. Overall I'm quite pleased with the stay and wouldn't mind staying again, for I know not every hotel and experience will be perfect.
