"Nice Hotel near convention center"
Very nice Hotel. Very clean and friendly staff. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant, Mas. It was delicious, a very nice dining experience. When we went back to our room to sleep music was playing quite loud until after 10:30 because of a bar across the street.

"Lovely B&B and accommodating owners"
I had to do some last-minute rescheduling thanks to weather delays, and Steve was totally understanding and accommodating. I had booked the Ivy Room for a night at the start of my trip and the Gold Room for a night at the end of my trip, but ended up needing to extend my stay—Steve suggested that he just book me into the Ivy Room the entire time (at the same rate) and let me leave any items I didn't want to lug around for the day between my stays (since no one else had booked that room). It really made things a lot easier! Bonus: breakfast in the Spy House was delicious!

Good for a quick stay. The rooms could use a bit of an update, especially the bathrooms. The rooms were clean for their age, but the bathtub still had a bar of soap in it from the previous guest. Overall not bad for a low price hotel.

Hyatt Regency Albuquerque

330 Tijeras Ave NW, Albuquerque - Map
This Hotel is conveniently located to many area attractions and the price was excellent. The only knock I have is that the Valet Parking was $20.00 per day or to park yourself in the garage is $16.00 daily. The park yourself should be no more than $5.00 daily and actually free would be reasonable.

"Nice but ridiculous fees for room service/parking"
Ordered room service and would have only been $22 but they added and $18 delivery charge and gratuity so it was $40 for 2 omelettes! Also parking is 12.00 per day and we weren't even able to park on site because the lot is so small we had to park across the street and walk

Mauger Estate B & B Inn

701 Roma Ave Nw, Albuquerque - Map
"What every B&B ought to be"
We've stayed at quite a few B&B's and the Mauger Estate was the best, bar none. It's an historical registry house, dating from the mid-1800s, so the rooms weren't huge, but nevertheless was just the right size for our purposes. The house and yard - spotless and uniquely designed, fun to wander around in. But what made it special was the helpfulness and attention of the staff. The young proprietress was busy but took time to help us figure out how to get to our destinations (we could actually WALK to great restaurants and the convention center in downtown Albuquerque - what a concept!) and she was a fantastic and attentive cook. Wine and cheese in the evening, some fresh chocolate chip cookies and a full spread at breakfast - tasty French toast, home-made yogurt, sausage and so much more, served in a bright, sunny breakfast room. Who could ask for anything more?

Embassy Suites Albuquerque - Hotel & Spa

1000 Woodward Place NE, Albuquerque - Map
"Nice Hotel"
Pluses: complimentary happy hour drinks & appetizers; easy, hassle free check in; complimentary hot breakfast buffet with made to order omelets; friendly staff; clean, well maintained facility. Minuses: very close to hwy 25 (noise & traffic); the view from our window was the freeway; the artificial plants in the atrium were distractingly fake; there were only a few clean tables when we went for breakfast and a large number of tables that needed to be bused of dirty dishes, we were solicited for cash in the parking lot by a "stranded motorist" who didn't have enough money to return home to Los Cruces.
