Lovely rooms

Nice building in attractive grounds. Reception staff helpful and pleasant. Some rooms permanently in shade hence cold all day. Some refurbishment needed door frames and skirtings quite shabby. There is nothing near the hotel so you need a car or a taxi (15 EUR each way) to get to the marina, which itself is quite nice. The distance from facilities made the bar and restaurant important. but big problem is the lack of staff at the bar through the day and in the evening (breakfast not so bad). In the evening there was often no staff at the bar, so to get a drink you had to go and find someone. The staff that were there were very busy, and told the customers! They seemed quite annoyed that we wanted to order drinks and food, and let us know! I don't think I would go back to this hotel, and I would avoid others in the chain.

Lovely quiet hotel. Fab breakfast and pool
A lovely hotel which was bought by a new company about 2 years ago but apart from that is exactly the same. Amazing breakfast. Pool is lovely too.

Un hotel muy confortable, con buenas zonas comunes. Muy viejo, lo deberían remodelar, en especial las habitaciones y quedaría mucho mejor. Pero es un hotel bueno, me gustó. Buena cama y buena ducha. Uno duerme muy bien

Secluded spot
Hotel was a little isolates so you really need a car. Quite a distance from reception to rooms so when your key doesn’t work, which happened frequently, it’s a trek back to get it sorted. The food in the restaurant was hit and miss, some nights better than others. Drinks at the bar were outrageous, €10 for a G&T which for Spain is ridiculous. Wine list was reasonably good but very limited. Lovely pool and friendly staff.

Midweek stay
The hotel was very clean and the service excellent. On arrival the hotel was very quiet but did get busy as the weekend approached. The complex adjacent was closed whilst we was there so with out a car there would be nothing to visit. The food in the hotel restaurant was good and not over priced, the breakfast included in the stay was more than adequate. The hotel WiFi was very good and even worked well in the room.

The hotel is good and we had great service from the pool / bar staff, but the receptionist wasn't great. We asked for an iron and were sent to do our ironing (getting a couple of items looking crisp for a wedding) in an basement room, on an bad quality ironing board that leaves an annoying grid pattern. This was quite inconvenient, for this type of hotel you would be expecting to be able to get an iron and ironing board in your room! The pool water is pretty much too cool to get in, and it's a bit too close to the motorway.

Great hotel to discover the area not far from Gib
We chose this hotel to be able to go into Gibraltar. Its about 25 mins away and is just off a main motorway E15 but is in a quite spot so all good to not only discover Gib but the costa del sol as well. Good car parking, comfortable with pool as well and also a good breakfast so ticked all the boxes we required for our trip. I would recommend this hotel. Also within 5 mins drive plenty of places to eat and the coast is only 5 mins away.

The good, the bad & the slippery
The most important things for me, in any hotel, are a comfortable bed in a quiet, clean room that is dark at night. Apart from our last night, when there seemed to be a lot of activity in the corridor at 2am, the NH came up to scratch in this regard. The shower is powerful, but over the bath & the floor quite slippery, which makes getting in & out hazardous. The pool area is lovely & the pool clean & warm. Breakfast was excellent, & special diets catered (I'm coeliac). Most of the staff were very efficient & pleasant, but the receptionist checking us in was slow, could not find our reservation & our room not ready at the agreed check-in time. I would stay here again as it is convenient (we have friends nearby).

Nice hotel close to Soto Grande harbour
Have stayed here last year as visiting relatives close by. Feel really at home here in nice leafy suburb of Soto Grande near to beach, harbour and restaurants. About half an hour from Gibraltar towards Cadiz and the white villages. Our room including breakfast was good value. I think the hotel is 4*. The staff are all very friendly & accommodating. They are all very polite. The atmosphere is very relaxed. The rooms are really clean. The hotel is plainly decorated white with dark brown furniture which is probably about 10 years old. It could do with a bit of upgrading & the bathrooms have strange harlequin tiles but all the mod cons are here. We stayed in a superior double which was big with a terrace outside. Lovely breakfast provided every morning. Have only eaten lunch here so can't comment on dinner. It's a 5 minute drive to the harbour where there are a few restaurants. Soto Grande comes alive in the evening or there are some very good tapas restaurants in Torreguardiaro. The tennis courts could do with a jet wash clean but the pool area is in a lovely setting with palm Trees and manicured lawns looking onto the golf course. Parking is free. The only couple of minor complaints I would have would be to retile the bathrooms eventually and the bath is a bit slippery when climb in to have a shower. The sink is area is a bit dark too. Sort of reluctant to share this info to ensure it's not booked up next time we go!
