Surprisingly clean and nice for the cost! Especially after staying at the run down Travel Lodge just a few hotels down in April for the same price! Would stay here again!

Decent hotel, overpriced for the value it offers in comparison to similar hotels in other cities. Safe location And courteous staff.

Pros: Dog friendly so many hotels are not.
Location: Went to visit the Madonna Inn. Also enjoyed Pismo Beach and Morrro Bay which are close by.
Enjoyed my stay because my dog was with me. So many hotels do not allow dogs. Friendly staff, comfy rooms and so many places close by. Hotel also offers breakfast.

I paid about $57 a night. Well worth it. Rooms are small, but it was clean, comfortable. I would stay again.

Just marginal all the way around. Not a place I'll likely stay at again.

Nice hotel close to dowtown

Posted 17-Jan-2014
Pros: The distance to dowtown
Cons: The shower, the water change the temperature all the time.
Location: It is so close to dowtown and the mission. You can find a mexican restaurant and a lot of the stores in four blocks.
We just spent the night in San Luis Obispo. We were travel by the California Coast, one of the best experience that we had.

Convenient location at a good price

Everything about this hotel is just fine, as you would expect from a place like Super8. It's not a fancy/nice/special place to stay, but it's a clean room in town if you, like me, are visiting on a budget. It's set a bit away from the University and downtown, between a bunch of other hotels, so you can count on the neighborhood being pretty quiet (something you can't always say for the downtown hotels). It's right off the freeway so you have easy access but you don't get freeway noise. Only a twenty minute walk from downtown (or, a few minutes' drive). Hotel rates in SLO are largely based on what's happening at Cal Poly, but since I was there on an off-peak weekend I found it to be a very affordable place to rest my head. Plus, the internet worked really well, which was a huge plus for me!
