“Topnotch family hotel”
This is definitely a first class hotel. The staff is very friendly and professional. The grounds, pool, and hotel itself are all in perfect condition. We absolutely went crazy for our spacious 2 bedroom suite which was huge and topnotch and better than the pictures. All of the kitchen appliances are topnotch. It even had a washing machine. The plasma screen TV's were in every bedroom and the living room. The furniture and decor was classy. The pool is heated and you can walk to the beach along a path in back of the hotel for about 3 minutes. The view was heavenly. There were board games and DVD's for the rainy weather along with complementary hot chocolate and popcorn. The Lido restaurant is delicious. My 7 and 10 year old wanted to eat there every night. The entertainment and happy hour was excellent. The chef knows what he is doing. We will definitely stay there again!!
“Great hotel, can't wait to go back”
Great hotel: fantastic service, great setting. the only slightly negative comment I could make was that my "ocean view" suite was not full ocean view. There was no view from the window.; you had to get out on the patio and look past the plants to the distance to see the view. It would have been much closer to the truth to call it a "pool view" suite.
“The best view of the Pacific ever.”
Like staying in a luxury condominium.
“Best Place we have ever stayed”
We loved this hotel! Our room was 1655 sq.ft it was clean and we rec'd wonderful service. We are planning our next stay!
“Great Resort near Pismo Beach”
We had reserved a 1 BR and got a 2BR Suite facing the ocean. Location was amazing, the suite itself was luxurious and very spacious, even the sliver ware and appliances were first class. It is a small cozy and secluded resort, like paradise...
“Already planning a trip back”
Our stay at the Dolphin Bay was incredible. With three young children, it was important to have a resort that afforded us some space, preferably a kitchen and laundry in the unit. All of our needs were met and then some. We were placed on the ground floor so that we did not need to get into an elevator or navigate stairs to get out to the pool. Our suite was 2 bdrm, 2 bath with a full kitchen, so we had plenty of space, and a view of the ocean. The unit was immaculate and well-appointed. The staff was courteous, attentive and friendly. They had great activity buckets for each of our kids ready when we arrived - definitely enough to keep the kids occupied for a long time. The beach was down about 100 steps, but we got up and down, even with a small stroller for our youngest, and it's worth it as the tidal pools are incredible. The restaurant is fine - service was slow and it seemed like they were still figuring things out, but it did not detract from our stay since we either cooked in our unit or went out. The fireside grill was great for an afternoon meal by the pool and the watermelon mojitos were quite good! Oh, and the spa! I got a massage and it was wonderful. I really wish I had arranged for more spa time. La Bonne Vie is lovely, and like the rest of the resort, the staff was courteous and friendly, the spa comfortable, clean and relaxing. Overall, we had a wonderful stay, loved the resort and the location and definitely plan to return.
“First class service and accomadations.”
Spent one day at this pricey resort. The entire staff, including the general manager, were expectionally politre and helpful. The addtional fee for ocean view was worth every dollar. The full service apartment was new, nicely appointed, including dishes, washing machine and binoculars to view the ocean. Binoculars not required. Resort sponsored complimentery wine tasting. Hot chocolate and popcorn too! We will be back.
“Great place to stay, rates a little high.”
Ejoyed the room, quiet and well maintained. Very nice pool and view. Would like to see rates a little lower.
“our new get-away spot - the best yet”
The beautiful suite, wonderful ocean view, excellent service and delicious food will not soon be forgotten. We're going back over Thanksgiving weekend. Can hardly wait!
“Pismo's Crown Jewel”
Went for my wife's birthday. Canceled plans to fly elsewhere due to all the TSA issues, so I selected this hotel, booked the two-room luxury villa, and drove. Upon arrival, the staff was very friendly, professional and welcoming. The room had a fantastic ocean view and was very comfortable. I had called a local florist ahead of time, and the flowers were in the room awaiting my wife. My wife had a Swedish massage and deluxe pedicure and had nothing but great things to say about all of it. Dinner at the Lido Restaurant was outstanding and the wine list was very good. We had an '04 Opus One. Colin, our waiter was a pro and seemed overqualified for his job. We have nothing negative to say, even if we were to be hyper-critical. The entire staff worked very hard to make sure our stay was as enjoyable as possible, and we will reward their efforts by returning soon.
