This property was an old hostel. The building was cute. There was a very upscale restaurant within the small property but it was only open a few nights for dinner with a reservation. It was not on the beach it was about 100 yards off the beach with an apartment high rise building directly in front of our balcony. We paid for an ocean view so if we looked to the left we could see a tiny glimpse of the ocean. The patio had two lounge chairs. One was broken. We ask for a replacement to sit outside but never received it. There was no hot water for three days. We had to complain twice. Other people mentioned the same when we socialized at the warm pool.

The rooms are not as described or pictured on Expedia. Requested a partial refund via Expedia and was told it was denied. Everyone in the hotel had the same complaints. Staff was very accomodating and helpful. No coffee. Had to walk to the sister property 1/2 block away. Ocean View Room had NO Ocean View. Staff we working between both locations so the front desk was unattended for long periods of time. Neither restaraunt/bar on site at either location was open. I would choose another location and another hotel in the future. The friendly limited staff is the only plus to this hotel.

It was dirty never got out room cleaned or fresh towels and sheets. Looks nothing like the pictures. No parking. The only good thing was you could walk to the beach.

We had an amazing stay at Acacia! As their page clearly states, there is no on site parking, but the area has an abundance of amazing bars, restaurants, and a farmacia which carries about anything you could imagine all within walking distance, not to mention the beautiful beach! The hotel is truly boutique, and embodied everything we could have hoped for. Betsy at the front desk was kind and accommodating, with the check in/out process being seamless. She provided great recommendations, including Bebo’s restaurant around the corner. The giant hot pool was greatly appreciated for a relaxing dip after a long day. The onsite restaurant, Niche, was fabulous and super convenient for morning coffee (or mimosas) and made for a phenomenal dinner on our first night. I read many reviews and will say - Acacia truly embodies the rich and warm feel of Puerto Rico. The bed was super comfortable with soft, new linens, and we didn’t see one bug while there. The power went out briefly one afternoon, which is quite common on the island regardless of where you stay. The shower was always hot, and the staff were more than accommodating. I truly have not one negative thing to say about our stay. I highly recommend Acacia and am beyond grateful for our amazing stay!

A lovely property and excellent staff. It’s a bit run down and for $250 a night I’d expect a bit more, especially when we paid for a premium oceanfront room and were given a view of the parking lot. When we asked, the receptionist said “if you go onto the balcony and look over the side you can see the ocean.” To me, that’s not oceanfront - but cest la vie.

Great place just a little disappointed in how we were treated when we arrived and when we left. No welcome or goodbyes just “what do you need? Here’s your key. Leaving? Just need your key” that was it. Not sure if we would stay here again. Loved the place and our room but we didn’t feel like we were welcomed there.

The staff helped in any questions. Suggested eating places. Called taxi, kept our room supplies fresh. The hot tub on second level vrry relaxing after long day. Just wish we had a mini fridge in room. Worth the value for us.

Beautiful old 1920’s villa. Loved the decor. Rooms were ok. Bed was comfortable Only complaints are a window was broken/ wouldn’t close completely and screen was broken allowing bugs to get in,, and a lot of dirt in the furniture drawers, like sand and pieces of broken candy.

Very cute boutique hotel less than a block away from a beautiful beach. Easy walking distance to many very good restaurants. Very friendly and helpful staff. The pool-sized hot-tub is nice, and their sister hotel (about a block down the street) has an actual pool that Acacia guests can access as well. Would stay again.

When we arrived I was already expecting for the room to be small from the reviews and I prepared myself for the worst. The check in was very easy and we were pleasantly surprised with an upgraded room. We had a nice view of the beach even though the parking lot was in front which was expected. We really enjoyed the pool. The first night we were there the water was shut off between 6pm-8pm. You could tell that this was a reoccurring event by the way the front desk woman acted. We had to take a shower at the sister hotel Wind Chimes down the street which really was snot horrible. Again I read all of the reviews and expected something to happen. That was the only thing negative during our 4 day stay in this hotel. We used our room to sleep and shower. Thank you Acacia for a smooth trip to Puerto Rico.

We regret this review, it seems to be in the wrong place. All our rooms have a bathroom but it is separate from the bedroom, there is no way there would be a sink next to the bed. There are no complaints in your reservation, so we assume that your stay with us was good. We would have liked to receive a real evaluation of our hotel. It was our pleasure serving you, best regards!

Upon arrival found live bedbugs in our bed. When we notified the staff they said they would take steps to have them terminated. They would not refund our money which was over $300 Canadian dollars per night. Would not recommend this hotel.

Blood on the sheets, found a dead bed bug, hair in the sink before anyone had used the bathroom. When asked if we could store our luggage, we were told to put it under the stairs - right by the complimentary coffee and water. We didn’t for safety reasons. The room door didn’t lock completely and the sink trickled water while the shower nozzle squirted water in every direction.

Property was a cute boutique but the shower head dripped the entire night and the walls were paper thin that you heard everything. The beds and staff were very nice. Not much around but beach is close by.

Arrived to be told there was no food or drinks service ‘only at the weekend’- then the power went out for 8 hours. Ran by a disinterested & inept staff, I don’t recommend this place at all.

The blackout was a result of a municipal issue, which unfortunately affected our operations. Our staff did their best to manage the situation, but we understand your frustration. Good: * Property is very close a few steps from the beach * The heated pool is nice after a day of walking BAD * blanket was extremely old and cheap quality. You can feel a lot bump on the blankets texture. * Bed was hard. * Bedroom was very small. * Facilities are old. For example the door open with a key. They only have you 1 key for 2 people. And if you loose this key 🔑 you need to pay 150$.
