“Gorgeous hotel”
We were incredibly impressed with this hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful and very clean. They have a lovely restaurant and a nice poolside area/snack bar. The pool area was great and it felt as if we were at a resort and not just a hotel. The evenings at the bar beside the pool were really great. We only planned to stay at the hotel for one night before moving onto Madrid for a couple of days. Once we were there, we changed our mind and ended up staying for 3 nights. We skipped Madrid entirely because we were enjoying Seville and the hotel pool so much. The only downside is that it's not right in the tourist area. They do however offer a free shuttle into the city and it doesn't take long at all to get there. The last shuttle return is a little early for people that want to stay out for the evening. We ended up taking a taxi back the last night cause we wanted to stay out later than 10:15. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel. It was very inexpensive and way more than we expected.
“Good deal for Seville”
This is a business hotel with conference facilities, etc. YET it is a great deal for tourists. A free hourly shuttle into the downtown sites is offereded hourly. Spacious with lots of fine touches.
“big rooms, easy to find hotel with parking”
We were there over Easter, the pool was closed sadly. The hotel was really easy to find, the second time. Enter off the exits from the east (not the north). Lots of parking! It was a good location as we were skydiving to the west of Seville. In the evenings we would take the free hotel shuttle into town and a taxi back. Ranging taxi prices were from 10-15 euro. The hotel buffet was gross! go elsewhere. The rooms were very large and nice, beds were ok. Seville is amazing!!
“Pleasant but distant”
Very pleasant large hotel. Great pool and good service. Our room wasn't as clean as we expected, and they were a few minor problems like a cupboard door with a faulty hinge and no TV other than local channels, but we were surprised at how large our room was. It was open plan two floors with the bed and toilet upstairs. The hotel is a bit distant from the centre of town, but there is a hotel bus that runs every hour from 9am - 1pm and then from 8pm - 10pm. (20-25 minutes) Outside these times, you would have to get a public bus or find the nearest metro station, San Juan Bajo (an interesting challenge!) There is a shopping complex nearby with a huge Carrefour supermarket and a couple of restaurants which enabled us to save some money on food and drink, but the food at the hotel is excellent and again the service is great. Seville is beautiful and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.
“très bon rapport qualité prix”
à 10 minutes en voiture du centre de Seville. voiture recommandée++. sinon, l'environnent est celui de la banlieu et il n'était pas mentionné sur le site que la belle piscine extérieure était fermée en avril ce qui est dommage
“Great price for the high quality”
This hotel reminded me of a hotel in Vegas. It was huge! It had shops, and vendors selling Flamenco dresses, a gym, spa, salon, buffet, restaurant, conference room, etc. It was just a lot more than I expected for the small price I paid. The location isn't far away from Sevilla, but it isn't walking distance either. You can however walk to Corte Ingles, a huge shopping center, and a casino from the hotel. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and they spoke English well, which is good for a non-Spanish speaker like myself lol. The room was spacious, but the TV was very small. If you're in Sevilla, I don't recommend watching TV anyway since there is so much beauty to see. Overall, the hotel is a great deal, but I wouldn't recommend it if you want to walk out of you hotel and see the city. There is like a 10 min ride into Sevilla I think. Otherwise, I was very satisfied.
“Second Visit this year”
When we arrived we had been booked into a room without a balcony although we had requested one, the reception staff were excellent and without fuss they arranged for a room as requested to be made available within 10 minutes. This was our second visit this year and we were again impressed with the hotels location and facilities, the only downside to this visit was the room service in terms of dusting and floor cleaning was not up to their usual standard. But we would definitely consider using again.
“Good hotel for a great price”
Hotel was fine--no wifi in the rooms. Good price.
“Very pleasant stay”
We came to Seville on a very early flight and was pleasantly surprised that they allowed us to have our room around 9am. We had to take a taxi from the airport which was a bit pricey (40 euros). From the outside the hotel looks quite grand but on closer inspection, you can tell it's a bit outdated. Rooms were lovely but as we had a room for 4 people, 2 of us were stuck with the sofa bed which was uncomfortable to say the least. There were no tea/coffee making facility which was odd for a 4 star hotel. However they made this up by having a great selection for the buffet breakfast for only 7.50 euros per person. The hotel offers a shuttle service, which drops you off near Hotel Alfonso in the city centre. This was really handy for us who didn't rent a car. Shuttle service runs at 10am, 11am, 12pm, 5pm, 6pm and 8pm. The pick up from the city centre to the hotel is at the same location at 10.15am, 11.15am, 12.15pm, 5.15pm, 6.15pm and lastly 8.15pm. It didn't bother us that the last shuttle back was a bit early as we had an early dinner. Overall a pleasant stay at Hotel Alcora, although we didn't try out the other facilities on offer like the pool and fitness centre, I would still recommend this place if you're planning a visit to Seville.
“bad location”
no public transportation, bad location, the only transportation is provided for hotel each hour to go to dowtown
