“Great deal great stay”
Got the king size bed room with Jacuzzi. Check in was a breeze. Getting to the room was a breeze. The room could use a little more lighting or brighter lights. Very comfortable. I would definitely come back here again.
“Great place - wish we had more time here”
We booked The Valley Park Hotel for a 1-night stay in San Jose. The hotel had overbooked their rooms so we were upgraded for free to a suite. The room was starting to show some signs of wear but nothing troubling. The lobby area is beautiful and very well maintained. They have a fantastic free hot breakfast that is well beyond the normal continential breakfast. We had scrambled eggs and hash browns, mine with veggies, my friend plain. The gentleman working the front desk made it a point of asking what our plans for the day were when we checked out. When we told him, he proceeded to arrange for discount tickets for the Winchester Mystery House. He could have gotten us discount tickets for the 2 nearby museums as well. He also provided us with directions and lunch recommendations. The service was beyond what I expected. I would definitely stay here again.
“Wonderful Staff”
We've stayed three different times (3 days each time) and feel like family now. For an older hotel, Valley Park is extremely comfortable and clean. The A/C works perfectly to cover up the street noise when on the front side. The maids do a good job of cleaning each day (with a smile included). The front desk staff is very helpful and friendly. We appreciate the free and complete breakfasts - always with the choice of a customized egg/cheese/sausage/meat omelet plus many other options. When I accidentally threw away something I needed, the 2 maids on my floor both helped me search the trash holder out back! Really went the extra mile! All-in-all, a great place to stay often.
“Was clean and friendly”
Service was friendly, room was clean. Breakfast wasn't so great in my opinion, but better than just fruit and cereal at least. Decent place to stay, super great price. I would stay here again.
“Convenient!”
Always stay there when visiting our daughter.
“"Won't stay anywhere else but here"”
Very clean, nice rooms with good facilities. The staff are phenomenally helpful and friendly I give praise to the manager of the hotel for tranining and selecting proper staff. Hotel is very well located near to Santana Row for very good dinning and mall for shopping and San Jose Airport. This place has become my default location whenever I am in the Valley.
“loved it”
hotel was beautiful, clean rooms, great price nice location! would stay there again!
“Good value”
Close to airport, shopping and freeway. Breakfast, dinner and wifi, included in the price. The people that work there were very nice. It is an older hotel, but you can't beat it for the price.
“Best place to stay in Silicon Valley”
Stayed in the hotel for only one night. Didn't get a chance to use the SPA tub. Can't wait to go back just to relax. Room was great. Had everything we needed so didn't have to ask for anything. Bed was comforable and the room was not nosey. We did the free dinner which was OK. I would be willing to pay extra for more variety. Didn't get a chance to do breakfast. Will go back.
“Overall very happy”
I stayed eight days at this hotel. For the price, we were very happy with the quality of the room, wireless internet, free underground parking and complimentary hot breakfast and dinner. Very convenient. The breakfast buffet had fresh fruit, assorted grains, cereals and oatmeal. The grill always served made-to-order omelettes (with meat) that were prepared very clean (no "greasy spoon"), so it sat well in the stomach even though we ate it every day. The dinner buffet was less satisfactory but acceptable for the price, always featuring the same salad (iceberg lettuce, carrot, red cabbage) and dessert (Jello). The daily entree was prepared in batches, and the quality was not so great. The variety was reasonable: over eight days, we saw hamburgers, ravioli (made in-house I think), mexican food, meatballs with potatoes and gravy, tomato mac-and-cheese, asian stir fry. The hotel staff was very friendly. My only real complaint was that the hotel is situated right at the traffic lights on Stevens Creek Blvd. Every clown on a motorcycle or with a fart-pipe on their car opens it up as they drive past, all hours of the day (and night). It didn't bother me at first, but after eight days, it was pretty obnoxious.
