“Excellent accomodations & great value”
Hotel is 5 minutes from San Jose airport and offers many amenities: free wifi in the lobby of hotel, nice large pool for lap swimming w/ jacuzzi, standard room is large, bathroom + extra sink are decent size. Highly recommend for business travelers and those needing quick airport access!
“Best deal in town”
Due to a number of factors, I needed to spend the night before Thanksgiving in a hotel. I decided to stay at the Double Tree for it is very close to the airport and provides a shuttle service there on a frequent basis. This mitigated the risk of not finding parking at the airport on the day of my flight and the cost of the room was less than I would have paid for parking. Given that I live in San Jose, I had never stayed at the Double Tree and was a bit leery about the low price for the rooms. However, these concerns were alleviated once I got into the room. In general, the rooms were quite clean and spacious. The furnishings were up-to-date and everything was working as it should. I should also mention that the staff at the hotel was quite friendly. For example, due to a mix-up on my part, I originally thought I did not have a reservation but the front desk was able to fix that with no problem. Then, it was later realized that I had two reservations when only one was needed. That too was addressed in a very cheerful style. (Thanks to Laurel and Jerri!) If I were a visitor to San Jose, I would definitely plan to stay there. Who knows, I may be back at the hotel next year around Thanksgiving time...
“very nice”
only negative is they charge $18 /day for parking, parking was adequate
“Our time in San Jose”
I enjoyed the entire experience. The pool was beautiful and inviting but rainy weather kept us from enjoying it.
“Comfortable and convenient”
Clean and very convenient to the San Jose Airport! The shuttle was very prompt!
“Doubletree, I'm lovin it!!”
It was my first time choosing Doubletree, and I think it was absolutly a good decision living there, with the convient shuttle bus to SJC, spacious and comfortable room, nice Doubletree people, and also the lovely cute&tasty cookies! Doubletree, I'm lovin it!!
“97% positive”
My stay at the hotel was very positive, with one exception, parking. Finding parking without using the valet service proved to be very difficult at times.
“Very nice.”
Staff very friendly, room extremely clean. Linens were nice. Balcony was a plus, not to mention the fireplace in the lobby.
“This is the place to be - Close to the airport, close to attractions and a great place to stay.”
Upon arriving at the San Jose Airport - I went to the shuttle area and called the hotel for their shuttle service. Within five minutes the shuttle pulled to the curb, helped with bags and whisked me off to the hotel 1/2 mile away. The check-in process was quick and effiecient and the "warm chocolate chip cookie" was a nice greeting. The hotel has an open and airy feeling and the lobby area is extremely inviting. I enjoyed roaming the interior of the hotel main floor with its offerings of restaurants including a Sushi Bar, Sports Bar, Nite Club, Spencers Restaurant, and Sprigs - a casual and moderately priced eatery. The coffee bar was a pleasant surprise with Starbucks coffee and a nice assortment of pastries. The room was clean, comfortable and was updated fairly recently. The size of the rooms make it eay to set up an office or just spread out and relax. I had a view of the mountains - not to be missed. The only drawback that I noted for those that check-in with a car is that there is a daily rate for parking with no in/out priviledges. I stayed for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed my stay in the area - As I prepared to leave I took advantage of the Airline Check-in Kiosk in the lobby that printed out my boarding pass. I again boarded the Hotel Shuttle and went to the airport. I will definitely be back.
“one of the best hotels”
good hotel and agood service.
