“Businessman's Choice”

For a business trip this hotel is excellent as it provides a comfortable work place and is extremely quiet. The bed is also most comfortable and the temperature of the room very controlable. There are no extras here however. There is no touch of quality to engender any emotional attachment. This is a highly functional hotel for a businessman/person.

“Comfortable and Convenient”

The Los Altos Courtyard Marriott is among several hotel/motels along the El Camino Real between Palo Alto and Los Altos, so it has a great location. It is not an elegant Courtyard site but well managed and maintained. The only disappointment for my trip was that the exercise room was being renovated and unavailable.

“Satisfied Traveler”

Liked security parking underneath hotel. Pretty quiet except our room was over security parking gate & we could hear it everytime it opened and closed. Otherwise, hotel staff was friendly & helpful. Only thing I did not like was housekeeping had missed a washcloth that had been previously used by room occupant prior to us.

“Don't get an adjoining room.”

I enjoyed this hotel because despite the fact that they were very crowded they responded immediately when I requested a different room. I needed a new room without an adjoining door because I could hear EVERYTHING that was going on in the room next door. The doors must be hollow because they may as well not have been there. The new room had no door and we had no problems with noise after moving there.

“Friendly and accomodating”

The staff was extremely helpful. We needed a hotel after surgery. The staff quickly reserved the handicap room for us which is very close to the front desk. When my husband asked for things to help make my post-op stay more pleasant, they provided anything to help me be more comfortable. I would want to stay here even if it wasn't just convenient or accomodating. This is a family friendly, clean hotel with a friendly staff. Thanks.

“Not Impressed”

The overall was satisfactory but our room seemed to be extremely noisy, like the air conditioner for the whole building was in the room next to ours and the noise was all night. Hard to sleep with that kind of noise and vibration. The room was very comfortable and clean. Employees were courteous.

“Leaky toilet in room”

Our stay was disturbed by the toilet in our bathroom leaking sewer water. We awoke to a stinking room in the morning. Needless to say we could not take a shower in the morning. When we complained the front desk boy as we called him he did not do much to fix the problem. Untill we asked to talk to the manager who mailed us a room comp.I was dissappointed also because it was not as close to the shoreline as it says it is. It cost us $20 to take a cab there. But it was still better than driving there ourselves I guess.

“Good location, thin walls”

The "Courtyard by Marriott Palo Alto Los Altos" is in a great location on El Camino between the two cities in its name. It has been open for about ten years and the staff is helpful and responsive. However, the facility is aging fast and is NOT up to other Marriott or Courtyard locations. THIN walls and noisy guests required daily requests for quiet to the staff. It also did not help that my room was not ready upon check in and I was given a ground floor "accessible" room with awkward facilities. Overall, I did not get a good night's sleep due to the noisy environment.

“Hotel that couldn't shoot straight”

It's hard to say what the worst part about this hotel was. It might have been the 25 drunken people partying upstairs. It might have been the hotel management doing nothing about the noise. But it's probably when the drunks pulled the fire alarm after 4am, and since nobody working at night knew how to turn it off, the alarm kept going off intermittently for the next hour and a half. Do you own a car? If so, sleep there instead.
