“An oasis in busy San Jose”

An exceptional hotel with beautiful gardens and open-air hallways. Very clean. Extremely comfortable beds. Friendly and helpful staff. Pool facilities and fitness facilities were very nice. Business centre was the best we've encountered yet. We stayed for two days on arrival in Costa Rica, and another two days at the end of our holiday prior to our flights back home. The restaurant provided a fantastic buffet dinner on New Year's Eve which was a wonderful wrap-up event for our group of eight travellers. A convenient am/pm market across the street was a great source of fruit and snacks (for the always-hungry teenagers in our group). ATMs were also located at the am/pm market. A major shopping mall is within walking distance.

We really ejoyed our stay at this hotel. It was my first trip to Costa Rica. Our sellection was based on on the feedbacks from previous travellers. It was as great and clean and staff as friendly as everyone had said. I definately will stay in this hotel again. Tip: There's a small grocery store just a few steps from the hotel with great fresh baked stuff and also a cigar shop next to it.

“San Jose's Best Hotel”

Everyone at the Doubletree Cariari was exceptionally helpful and pleasant throughout our stay. We spent a total of 3 nights with them. The facilities are beautiful with the garden at the front and the gorgeous pool. The rooms were commodious and clean. The safe in the room came in handy for storing our passports while we went to dinner or shopping. There is a huge shopping mall within walking distance and several restaurants too. I would love to stay there again if I fly into San Jose and would highly recommend it.

I have stayed at this hotel before, and this time brought my whole family. We got 2 rooms, and ate meals there, as well. The staff is delightful and friendly. English is spoken by most of the staff, and language is not a problem. The architecture is very unique, in that the outdoors is integrated into the overall ambiance of the hotel. The gift shop is great, as well!

“Great Hotel for Tall People”

Luisiana had awesome beds and very artistic layout of the rooms. We had the kitchen suite for 2 adults and an 7 yr old, plenty of space. Came with a Mac computer, free internet and free international and local calls. Cool bathroom, but the shower head was up around 6.5 ft. and since it was open, half the bathroom got wet from the splashing. The kitchen cabinets with the dishes were also way out of my reach. Overall we loved the beds, extra roominess, and attention to aesthetic appeal. Would happily go back again even with the "tall" quirks.

“Excellent Service”

The hotel staff is fabulous and cater to every need. I asked for a vanilla latte and they didn't have vanilla syrup so they substituted it for real vanilla, how yummy! The breakfast buffet has a great selection and everything is really fresh. The layout of the hotel is excellent because it's very open. I plan on going back and staying at the Cariari.

I couldn't have chosen a better place for my first night in Costa Rica after a long flight. It's very spacious and super clean in a beautiful setting surrounded with a lot of vegetation located just at a few minutes from the airport. The architecture is a delight. I haven't heard any plane even if this location is very close to the airport. I was glad to see the quality of their products in the vanity room. I had a super sleep as super as I do at home It felt very safe for a woman alone. The convenience of the free Internet "working" is valuable. I wish I had used the pool. It has been the most expensive night I had in Costa Rica, but still inexpensive comparing to some places I have been in the US and Europe.
