“San Jose, Costa rica”
We loved this BW more like a 4 star hotel than a USA BW Motel. San Jose is not a place I'd go back to but if I did this is where I would stay. Met great guests there from the UK and Canada. If you get tired of Costa Rican food there is a Denny's attached where they fly in food from the US which I liked after 5 days at an ECO lodge with the rice and Black beans 3 times a day. Great Happy Hour can and no lack of service. the staff was very helpful and pleasant.
“Luxery at a bargain price”
Excellent facility! Beautiful Grounds, Very attentive staff , and free happy hour! How can you go wrong. My only dissappointment is that as I am disabled, I could not use the pool and hot tub. This could be be bettered with flat surfaces to wheel or walk upon. So I spent too much time in the casino..had a great time!!!!!!!!!!!

“Pricey but convienent”
My son and I stayed at the BW Irazu twice during our vacation in Costa Rica. If you make use of the amenities offered and stay more than one night, it is definately worth the money. This hotel offers FREE international calls! The pool is very large. There is an on site laundry mat, spa, casino, bar, and 24 hr Dennys. The first night we arrived late(10:30 pm) and left early the next morning(7:45 am). Our room was located on the 2nd floor. It was supposedly not an updated, newly renovated room. We found it to be quite nice. It had a large flat screen television for my 14 year old. The city view from the balcony was quite nice. The bedding was comfortable. It was super easy the make FREE international calls. Our price included breakfast at the on site 24 hour Dennys restaurant, but we didn't have time to use our tickets. We were so impressed with this hotel's amenities, we decided to stay here again later in our trip. Our second stay was for two nights. Upon check-in, I was given a coupon flyer for discounts and complementary items/services. Our room was again on the second floor and again I requested an unremodeled room to save a few dollars. The room had a view of the pool and unfortunately did not have the nice flat screen. It was still very clean and comfortable. The free breakfast is from a special menu with 5 choices. The large pool was rather cold, to my son's dismay. All in all we really enjoyed our stay here.

Hotel transport met us at San Jose - service throughout our stay was superior and exceeded our expectations. Great value for money.

After spending many many nights in hostels and traveling, it was actually a pleasure to stay at a decent hotel and eat at the dennys. plus they have a casino downstairs!

Hotel was a little noisy. There was a soccer tournamemt and a number of teenage soccer teams were staying there.

I have stay at this hotel the last three times I been to San Jose. Staff very helpful and friendly. I like the location.close to the city and the airport. only $5.00 ride from the hotel to the city. same coming back. very nice pool and restaurant. internet access. they have all the tours you will like.
“Perfect Beginning & End To Our Trip-Great Atmosphere!”
Our family stayed at the Best Western Irazu on the first and last night of our 16 day visit to Costa Rica. The staff was friendly and anxious to help make our stay enjoyable. The rooms were clean and comfortable. They offer a complimentery breakfast at Denny's, which is on the property. They have a beautiful swimming pool, an internet room, which offers free internet service (a big hit with our teens), a casino, disco-with nightly happy hours,a gift shop, complimentary coffee in the lobby, and ample parking with security gaurd. It's also convenient to the airport, and local shopping.

Kids enjoyed the pool, hot tub & internet access; adults enjoyed the evening happy hour and comofortable rooms. Shuttle & taxi drivers all reliable & friendly. Good restaurants in walking distance from hotel.
