"The hotel was beautiful, the staff was wonderful"
We traveled for a wedding so we didn't have much time to explore. The hotel was beautiful and the staff was fantastic; however, it was rather secluded from the city. So if you wanted to travel into town to go and explore it was a 40 minute cab ride that was kind of pricey.
Our first time at Los Cabos. Hotel was clean and I liked the mini bar that was stocked daily with drinks. Staff was great. You could not swim in the beach and cabo san lucas was about 40 minutes away where most of the shopping and activities were. Cab rides got expensive at $40 each way. They had a shuttle that was a little less or you could walk a couple of blocks to the bus station. Next time I would rather stay at Cabo San Lucas closer to everything.
"Good location & friendly service oriented staff!"
Loved our stay at Bel Air in San Jose , Los Cabos. It is strategically located in San Jose, walking disntance to San Jose del Cabo (not Cabos San Lucas!) shopping and restaurants and only a $7 USD cab ride to the downtown area of San Jose, which is a more laid back, not party central, area of town. We rode the local bus back adn foprth to places and to Cabo San Lucas twice, and it is VERY safe, so do not be afraid to venture out into the world and become one of the locals! Mexican locals are super friendly adn SUCH nice human beings. They don't bite, I PROMISE! :)
The bus ride into Cabo San Lucas is 30 mins long, and it only costs $35 Mexican Pesos (~$3USD or less) versus a $35USD cab ride!!! Cabo San Lucas is nice during the day to hang out, go shopping, do a tour (we did the romantic Sunset Sail which I highly recommend) , go to the local pebaches, and have a drink or two. The night life is HAPPENING! It truly does turn into party central, very clubby, so if that is not your thing or you have the kiddies vacationing with you, avoid San Lucas at night.
Overall, we had an AMAZING time. The weather was super nice too, every single day we were there, not one cloudy nor rainy day. We lucked out!
We will definitely be back. Next time with the kids, it is a very kid friendly town and hotel as well.
We arrived late Sunday afternoon to find only the security personnel on site for us.his English was poor my Spanish non existent but we were able to get checked in.upon arriving in our condo realized that this condo had two single beds in the second bedroom instead of the king bed we had reserved.with limited communication available I explained that this condo was not what we had reserved and was not going to do for the week.he nodded and left and I had a sinking feeling about our vacation and the start we were off to.15 minutes later a knock at the door and the security person motioned for us to follow him he showed us a 3 bedroom condo said the price would be the same and asked if we were happy with this condo. The condo was clean ,spacious ,and very well appointed.why do I mention all of this?if the security guard could take care of this for us what problems could we possibly have when the full staff was onsite? The answer to this was none (Lucia)was fabulous took care of our excursions answered all of our questions(patiently)and was extremely polite. The resort is clean well maintained and conveniently located to the main highway.Strongly suggest a rental car as most things (golf, shopping,Cabo San Lucas)are not within walking distance. The wife and I and the other couple marveled at the view from our balcony the quietness of the resort and the relaxed atmosphere of Cabo del sol in general.would rate this an a plus in all aspects.
Stayed at the holiday inn resort in San Jose del Cabo great place for the price, the staff was great the bartenders were awesome especially Eli and Ester they went above and beyond our expectations we won't forget Luis and Alma and the older gentlemen inside the indoor bar and the rest of the cooking staff and servers!
I loved the Royal de Cameron because of many things:
1. it wasn't too far from the airport
2. the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful
3. the smaller size of the resort made it feel more intimate
4. cleanliness overall.
I would definitely return with family or my boyfriend, if I was looking for more of a partying feel I would head closer to Cabo San Lucas
Nine miles south of Los Cabos International Airport, San Jose del Cabo offers unparalleled sportfishing, where a day’s catch can include marlin, dorado, and sailfish. San Jose’s beachfront hotel zone on the Sea of Cortés lies a mile from this relaxed town. The historic Misión de San José del Cabo is across from the main plaza, home to art galleries and boutiques selling jewelry and handicrafts.
