We spent 7 nights at the Royal Solaris and enjoyed our stay tremendously. The location was ideal and within a 20 minute walk to the town square and arts district. Upon arrival, they invited us to sit and learn more about the resort which only took about 20 minutes of our time. They also invited us to sit in on a presentation about becoming a member but we declined and they did not push us into it as many resorts do. I was amazed at how clean the facilities were and they always seem to be cleaning night and day. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a great deal and a great location. We liked staying in San Jose away from the hustle and bustle of San Lucas but within a short 30 minute bus ride we were having lunch on the Marina in San Lucas. We are already planning our next trip. Thank you for a memorable vacation.
be very clear this is not a resort, which is not a bad thing, but if you have children and you want something where they can roam freely this is not it. the property is nice, but each unit is designed by the owner, so that will determine what perks you get.our three bedroom place was nice but nothing special.the owner chose not to put TV's in the bedrooms?fitness room was not up to par and the pool was ok.in a strange way I did like it?by the second day I liked being away from the major tourist towns and we were able to get the feel for the town. great staff norma and the other ladies do a great job!! great value for what we got. we did enjoy los cabos. ps the spa at the marquis is outstanding!!!!
My boyfriend and I loved our experience at Barcelo Grand Faro. The view looks like a post card! The staff was so friendly- we felt like we had known them for years. Each time we'd run into a staff member, they would greet us by name and ask if we wanted to participate in activities, games, or contests. The entertainment staff definitely knows how to entertain! The food was much better than we expected. The sushi wasn't too great, but Las Olas, the seafood and steak restaurant, was delicious! They make fresh omelettes made to order each morning, and there is a wide variety of foods for lunch and dinner. Each evening there is entertainment, so it isn't necessary to leave the resort if you don't want to. I had read reviews that the liquor selection was very poor; in my opinion, that is incorrect. Although the alcohol wasn't top shelf, they carried Jim Bean, Red Label, Smirnoff, and Bacardi. I'd absolutely come here again!
My friend and I stayed at this hotel during Memorial Day weekend, and it was absolutely wonderful! The staff was so friendly and helpful. Cruz and Victor were the best! The rooms were very clean and neat. The location was perfect. The breakfast and dinner buffets were delicious with a variety of foods to choose from. We were a little worried about the drinks being watered down, but they weren't!! The bartenders made some of the best drinks! This was our first time in Mexico, and I'm so glad it was an enjoyable experience. I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone! The crowd was pretty laid back, so you could take your family or just you and your friends. There were plenty of pools, and they were cleaned daily. The only bad thing I can say about this resort is the beds are extremely hard. They were very uncomfortable, but manageable. We will definitely be back!
Perfect blend of old world charm and location in the heart of San Jose del Cabo. Wonderful staff, clean and well maintained courtyard mission style buildings with mature vegetation. I brought a number of friends tothe hotel and they loved it, especially given the great value. Highly recommend it if you want to experience downtown San Jose del Cabo and be withn walking distance to everything the city has to offer.
