basic but comfortable s/c apartment.beautiful secluded hillside setting, great view. we realy enjoyed our stay. easy to miss the narrow turning up the hill ,but look out for the yellow circular sign. we will return.

“Great Location With Wonderful View”

The location of this hotel is very close to Pisa but still gives the feek of a secluded get away. The flowers and olive and orange trees offer a wonderful setting. The view of Pisa and the valley below is spectacular. The sraff was very helpful and the food was great.

“An unexpected treasure!”

While the pictures I saw were impressive I didn't really expect it to live up to my expectations. I was delightfully surprised that it was even better! Especially after a long drive from Malpensa to LeCapanne, the beauty of the view and the charm of the hotel were just what we needed to unwind with a glass of LeCappane wine near the pool. Belissimo!

“Extraordinary Place! ........ But .......”

Extraordinary place and super views over Pisa (incl. Leaning Tower in the distance!) Worth a check before booking as this hotel is clearly popular for Weddings and Anniversaries (it's not hard to see why - it is a lovely setting). However, an Anniversary Party was booked on our first night here - we had previously been staying at Lake Garda and Hotel Le Capanne was the next stop on our North Italy tour - so after several hours of driving, a good rest was required. Unfortunately, the party started at 6pm and went on until around 4am - to be fair music was stopped around 2am but noisy guests lingered on! The hotel staff were sympathetic the next day and we did feel sorry for the guy on bar duty who was also up again at 7am to cater for breakfast guests. Beware, food here is relatively expensive and you do not get much bang for your buck so to speak! San Giuliano Terme - not much to write home about! Also, double check postcodes for satnavs - we were on a bit of a wild goose chase initially as we ended up at a private address (lane between two little houses - great for diddy fiat cars - not so for Landrover Discos! - locals looked on bemused!) All added to the fun though! Overall an unusual and charming place to stay - great proximity to both Pisa and Florence for trips. A big thanks to the hospital staff of Lucca who kindly removed our youngest Daughter's wrist plaster cast which was ready to come off mid-way through our holiday - very friendly people.

“Great view overlooking Pisa.”

Beautiful gardens, great dining room and food. This hotel is definately on a mountain on a very narrow road. We had to blow our horn going around curves to get up there. There was a communication barrier until we met the main chef who spoke English. We became great friends. He was so helpful which made our stay a success

“Tuscan Heaven”

Le Capanne is located half-way between Lucca and Pisa and is an ideal base for exploring western Tuscany. The local town (San Giuliano Terme) is well served by trains and from Pisa (aprox 20 min journey 8 Euro for a family of 4 return ticket) you can get to just about anywhere. The hotel itself is situated half way up a mountain, but don't let the long and bendy access road deter you the view and the hotel is more than worth it. The food in the restaurant was very good, with the advantage that the adults could all enjoy a glass of wine without worrying about driving home. For the days you are not exploring, the pool provides a marvellous spot for relaxing and enjoying the view. If you are self-catering the kitchen is more than adequate and there are 2 supermarkets close by. Dining on your own terrace as the sun goes down at the end of a long day just about caps it all off.

“Spectacular Views”

This hotel is set up in the hills with spectacular views over Pisa. The drive to the hotel is all harepin bends but well worth the drive. Rooms were comfortable and the food was delicious although they tended not to come with vegetables! A lovely pool but not much else to do, so a car is essential Excellent value for money though.

Beautiful hotel with large apartments suitable for families. Great view of Pisa and the coast with amazing sunset.

“wonderful location”

The hotel was a wonderful place to spend a few days.finding it in the first place was some what difficult,look out for the yellow sign on the main road and the tiny lane at the side,and go up and up but when you have, it is as the sign says Paradise.the pool and the room was large lovely and clean and an amazing view,downside was having to carry your cases to and from the steep car park and the food in the restaurant was very limited and it was nt always open,although the wonderful view made up for that also the staff were so sweet and extremely helpful
