“Friendly Staff & A Great Location”

The Wharf Inn is one of the best places to book in San Francisco, if you want to be near the Fishermans Wharf. It is conveniently located - 1 minute walk from the Wharf itself and in close proximity to numerous shops, eateries and supermarkets. The place is clean & well maintained with good parking facilities. The staff at reception are extraordinary, in that they are genuinely friendly and helpful, for example with regard to sightseeing suggestions & baggage storage after checkout. The only negative comment is that one may be disturbed if noisy guests are occupying adjacent rooms. We had some people in the room above us who sounded as if they were stamping on the floor at some point in time, late at night. Though the star rating is at the lower end of the '5 star scale' we were more comfortable here than in some higher rated hotels we stayed at in the USA.

“Good first time experience”

After reading the reviews on this hotel I was weary about staying here. However, I will say I was pleasantly suprised. The room we got was clean and comfortable. I am not a hotel person and usually pay good money for a good hotel so it means alot when I say I'd stay here again. I was shocked at how clean and nice the hotel was for the price we got it at. You can't beat the free parking and a decent price we got from Expedia plus the awesome location of the hotel. Within walking distance of the wharf and the staff was very friendly. First thing I said when I walked out was "I'd stay here again" which is a huge deal and compliment to any hotel when I want to stay again. The complaints about street noise are true but it didn't bother us at all. Comforting to know only people with a room key can use the elevator to get to higher floors. Would definatly stay here again and would recommend to friends which says alot coming from me with how picky I am about hotels. Beds were pretty comfy too so that's a plus as well.

The Wharf Inn beats all contenders when it comes to location being situated a mere one block from the Fishermen's Wharf. With easy access to all points of interest in SF and "free" parking to boot, the value offered by the Wharf Inn is second to none. While the room was small, it came equipped with a "king's size" bed and was kept very clean on a daily basis by the hotel staff. The staff provided hot coffee 24/7 in the lobby and were most helpful in answering questions and providing information about SF and the environs. We would stay there again in a flash. Highly recommended for someone looking to get the most for less...

“Super Spot!”

I've stayed in this location before and paid double the rates plus parking. The Wharf Inn was a super deal and free parking! It is in a great location for all the activities for Fisherman's Wharf. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable.I hate the pricey hotel rooms where you get one chair to sit in when the room is for two people-we actually had two comfortable chairs. I will definitely stay here again!

This hotel is in a terrific location when visiting the pier 39/Fisherman's wharf attractions. The parking was included and the staff very helpful. The room rate for San Francisco was very reasonable. Would stay again.

Adequate room and facilities close to Fisherman's Wharf. Special mention for the friendly receptionists who provided service way above that expected. Would not hesitate to return.

The wharf inn was a great surprise. Great location, clean easy to get around. Walking distance to little Italy, Chinatown, Fishermans wharf etc. I little noisy but mainly only at times most people awake. Quiet enough at night. We were not expecting too much and were pleasantly surprised. Staff friendly and helpful, would definitely reccommond it, if for location alone.

“Wharf Inn--I love it”

This is my fourth trip to the Wharf Inn. I love the place. The only tip is do not get a room on the street side as it can be noisey (employee's entrance to Rainforest Cafe). If you have 4 people and can afford it, the "penthouse" has a kitchette, living room and great views. However, it is a one floor walk-up. The location is 1/2 block off the fisherman's wharf main drag and convenient to restaurants and shops. The regular room have no view, but We spent very little time in the room. Parking is free, a big plus in SF.

“Great value, clean, great location! FREE PARKING!!”

This hotel is in a GREAT location. Right at fisherman's wharf, close to cable cars, walking distance from pier 39, Ghirardelli, and dining. Across the street from convenience store. Right behind wax museum and Ripley's. We have stayed here almost every time we come to SF, at least 2x a year, and we will stay here again. It's a little older, no glamour, but comfortable, clean, and budget friendly. Walls are very thin: we got a call from the front desk to turn down our TV, but it wasn't even up loud. Overall, this is a great value to see the sights. The free parking is the best! Staff has always been very friendly and helpful. No spectacular views, or fancy rooms, but it's a great place to get some sleep after a long day of activities.
