It’s a nice old hotel. It needs a better lounge/bar area because it only has the Tongo (looks like pirate of the Carribean) or a bar in the area that they serve breakfast. For such an old iconic hotel I would think it would have better amenities.

Fabulous! My second best hotel stay ever! This hotel is a joy. The staff (front desk, concierge, dining, doorman) were thoughtful, attentive, and kind. The beds were comfortable and had high quality sheets. Shower pressure excellent. The outdoor garden and bee area are both stunning. But even better, the Tonga Room in the basement is a blast. The location is perfect with a beautiful park with a kids’ area is a stones through away. The historic Grace church is a two minute walk. Everything about this hotel is perfect and we will be back!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful property and overall, my experience was great. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by friendly and helpful staff. Despite a minor hiccups with the room not being feather-free initially, no slippers or robes, the issues were swiftly addressed upon request, demonstrating the attentiveness of the staff. While the furnishings could benefit from a refresh, they didn't detract significantly from the overall charm of the property. Additionally, although the in-room espresso maker was a nice touch, I found the serving size to be on the smaller side, even when set for a larger cup. However, this was easily remedied by running multiple cups. One highlight of the property was the art studio and historical pictures adorning the hallways, adding a delightful touch to the ambiance. Overall, I would highly recommend this property for its beauty, friendly staff, and attention to guest needs, despite minor areas for improvement.

Always love the old school tradition of this hotel. Just a classic, and never disappoints. Location is a bit of an oasis close to the action, but not in it.

This historic hotel is still beautiful! We were promptly greeted by valet and sent inside to check in, which was quick and friendly. Were given our room even though we were early. The lobby is grand and spacious. Ceilings are high throughout the hotel. Our standard room was small but comfortable and well kept. Comfortable bed! A great place for a weekend getaway.

We stayed in the golden gate suite, which had the most gorgeous view. My rating is primarily because the room and view was stunning! For a 5 star hotel, the service was a little slow at times (room being ready, requests for extra glasses for the room took over 1.5 hours, car took 25 mins to be brought to the front). We still felt it was worth it for the magnificent views!

The Fairmont up on the top of Nob Hill is a gracious place to stay. They offer in-room dining, a charming restaurant and bar, and there are dozens of great restaurants just a short walk away. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Beautiful grand hotel maintained perfectly! Tom the concierge was superb. Missed a traditional bar at the hotel…only open for coffee in the mornings. Tonga room bar only open wed-Saturday and hotel guests not given priority. Hotel needs to move past the “if you touch the mini bar model”, we were bothered twice with “mini bar queries”. And again at check out, charges were promptly removed but too much obsession for a hotel at this level!
