Refined setting with colorful collages by local artist; suspended, sculpted glass lamp evoking a giant orchid; and cream, gold, and chocolate-brown tones. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, Sunday brunch. Taj Campton Place Bar - Club-like room outfitted with deep-auburn madrona wood and caramel-colored leather. Traditional and specialty cocktails, fine wines by the glass. Cocktail and wine service to late night. Bistro menu from late morning till late evening.
Recreation
Overlooking Union Square and the surrounding neighborhood, the ninth-floor fitness center offers cardio machines, weight equipment, a TV, and complimentary water, fruit, and towel service.
One of the best ways to get an invigorating workout is simply by exploring this hilly city on foot. Nob Hill, Russian Hill, Telegraph Hill, and other neighborhoods offer steep sidewalks and stairways, intriguing historic buildings, and stellar views. The colorful, raucous birds made famous in the movie The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill can sometimes be seen—and heard—in the trees along the Filbert Steps and the Greenwich Steps on the eastern face of Telegraph Hill. Other top choices for walking and running include the Embarcadero, Golden Gate Park, the Presidio, and the Golden Gate Bridge.

“Hard work looks effortless.”
As head of hospitality at Iron Horse Vineyards it is wonderful to find a hotel that gives me the same high quality of hospitality I hope I give my guests. I do not have the responsibility of a hotel. Taj Campton does much more than I do. Their hard work for a guest looks effortless. A wonderful attribute for your comfort.

Excellent throughout. Excellent location. The hotel was excellent compared to some in the price range. Room was to the rear but other than that no problems at all.
“Luxurious Hotel”
Beautiful hotel situated in the heart of Union Square. Staff is very friendly upon check-in and extremely accomodating. The sheets on the bed were Italian linens and some of the softest I have ever felt. The bar was very expensive but excellent quality wines and food. glasses of wine are between $15-$20 each. We had in room massages, which we do not recommend unless you are either a business traveler or desperate. The standard king room was tight for one massage table making it difficult for the therapist to walk around the table. In room massage for two isn't possible unless you have a large suite. Furthermore, the quality of the massage therapists just isn't up to par with other spas in SF.

The room was extremely clean and comfortable! Hands down the most knowledgeable concierge in San Francisco... Hotel was walking distance to great shopping, restaurants and clubs! Perfect:)

“TOP CLASS”
Frequent this hotel's restaraunt on a regular basis. Spotted a 'bargain' room rate on Expedia and grabbed it. I cannot describe my experience as anything but outstanding. The staff, from front desk to the bar, are exemplary, extremely pleasant and helpful. Had the honor of meeting the GM, who is a gentleman. I have traveled the world and this is one of the best hotels I have stayed in.
“Great Place”
I can't say enough good things about this hotel. The service was exceptional and we were treated like VIP guests the entire stay. Upon our check in, the guest service rep asked if it was okay that the manger escorted us up to our room. Sure, why not. After settling into our room, we received a complimentary plate of fruit and a large bottle of water. That was a very nice and welcomed surprise. My fiance and I had a California King room which was small but suited our needs just fine since we didn't spend a lot of time there. The furnishings were very tasteful and had relaxed feel. The only complaint I had about the room was we were facing the alley, and I was woken up almost every night by a truck at 4AM. I live in a city though, so it wasn't that big of a deal since I'm accustomed to city noises. The location cannot be beat! We were a block from Union Square which was very convenient. We would definitely stay at the Campton Place again!
