Multi-level Parisian-bistro ambience and picture-window views of Powell Street's pedestrian action and famous street cars. Locals and visitors return for paper-thin carpaccio, mussels and pommes frites, boeuf bourguignon, seared salmon fillet, pan-roasted monkfish, pizza, and pasta. Extensive wine and cocktail menu. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktails daily.
Harry Denton's Starlight Room - Dancing, cocktails, and panoramic city views from penthouse-level nightclub with a 1930s flair on the 21st floor. Live bands four nights a week; light menu. Happy Hour on weekdays from 6 PM to 7 PM. Brunch on Sundays with live entertainment. Guests sometimes spot celebrities and sports stars. Open nightly.

“WOULD GO BACK AGAIN.......”
THE HOTEL WAS EVERYTHING I EXPECTED IT TO BE...

the best location, one block to Union Square, good service, good price, the room are little small but they are ok. When you go ask for the rooms in the corners, is the same price but bigger rooms.

Hotel très bien situé sur Powell St: A 100 mètres de Union Square et des boutiques.En face de l'arret du cable car. Bien penser si vous utilisez régulièrement le cable car à prendre un abonnement en bas de Powell St (le ticket est à 5 dollars et l'abonnement 7 jours à 27 dollards)

The title says it all. Great staff. 5th time staying there. Enough said.
“Great Hotel in a Great Location”
Excellent hotel located in Union Square. We stayed in a Towers Queen room and the room was spacious and spotless. The front desk staff and concierge was extremely courteous and helpful with providing area information and scheduling our tour reservations. Walk out the front door and you can hop right onto a cable car to see the city. I will definitely stay there again on my next visit to San Francisco.
“Very Impressed would go back”
After reading many reviews we weren't sure what to expect. In saying that we couldn't fault the Sir Francis Drake Hotel. Central to everything, staff more than helpful, rooms not your 'normal' cookey cutter hotel room. In a word lovely.

“I am going back to that Hotel in a few months !!!”
Although this is an old building it has been well maintained and kept very clean ! The Hotel is quiet and comfortable and I must say has the best bed I have been in for a while (and my bad back would know !) The personnel are courteous and friendly ! No reservations in recommending this Hotel !
“Great Location”
Not my first time at the Drake, but a while since our last stay. All of my contacts with hotel staff were friendly, courteous and extremely helpful. My room and bath were small, but spotless. The hotel restaurant, Scala's, is excellent and beautifully paneled and appointed. The cable car line runs directly in front of the hotel affording fun transportation to many places.
“Old World Charm and Warm, Helpful Staff”
The rooms are sweet and very clean and comfortable; far more interesting than the usual fare. The staff were very well versed on all of the local attractions, events and culture. The Drake is a lovely place to stay.
