Not Impressed

Posted 21-Oct-2014
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. Our view was a bus terminal with 300 buses right across the street... No insulation in any rooms, barely got a wink of sleep as the buses came and went... Hallways gave me a migraine.

Nice hotel very close to Fisherman's Wharf

Posted 21-Oct-2014
Pros: ComfortBle rooms and closeness to the local attractions.
Cons: Breakfast options for vegetarians.
The hotel was very convenient for walking to Fisherman's Wharf. Pool though small was adequate and not overcrowded. One negative point is the breakfast. Far too expensive for what was on offer, and nothing really if you are a vegetarian! However, being close to Fishermans Wharf this was not an issue as we went there for our breakfast with a good variety of eating options.

Did not feel like a 4 star

Posted 21-Oct-2014
Pros: the location is good
I think the put the expedia rooms in the old part of the hotel. The maids did a terrible job cleaning the room. The location was good but they gouge you with the wifi and parking fees so you end up paying similar prices to regular guest but you are in the old part of the hotel.

Two star hotel in a 5 star location. Internet bad.

Posted 21-Oct-2014
Hotel is somewhat tired and dated. No views. Very pricey internet went down causing me to entirely miss on-line meeting. Location very good so would not rule out in the future - but many local choices.

Expect better quality at such a price

Posted 20-Oct-2014
Pros: close to fisherman's wharf
Cons: overall quality of the hotel and the service
With a Sheraton name on the building, and a $289 per night price tag, We expected the hotel rooms to be much nicer, and the facility to be in much better condition. The hotel is showing its age and the room was very modest. We booked a king bed and got a double bed instead. The breakfast was standard American with nothing special either, even with the $32 price tag per person! for the same date/time, we could have booked Le Meridien for $169 and got much better quality. Sheraton needs to evaluate this property a bit closer.

Nice hotel but costly

Posted 12-Oct-2014
We booked through Expedia for a king size room but when we arrived we got 2 double bed instead. Everything costs money there, valet parking was $55 for a day and extra $14 for wifi connection. The ac was old and it made a lot of noises throughout the night. On the good side it is close to everything but that's about it.

Pros: Location.
The hotel was rated 4 star. I would have given it only 2 stars. It was in desperate need of updating.

Dear Pa'Mela, Thanks for staying with us. We appreciate your 3 star rating. Our renovation was not so long ago with a somewhat retro theme. Some of our Guests love it and some not so much. We will count you in the later group and keep your comments in mind for future plans. We look forward to the next opportunity to serve you. Sincerely, Michael Hirsch, General Manager

Dear Jim, Sorry that your experience here was not all you expected. One of our best features is that we located right in the middle of the action. That also makes it sometimes hard for those more sensitive to sounds that all this activity creates. However, we are pretty good at working with our Guests to find one of our 531 rooms that suits their needs. Sincerely, Michael Hirsch, General Manager

Ok place

Posted 30-Sep-2014
Pros: I enjoyed that the hotel and room was clean.
Cons: N/A
Location: It is very close to Fishermans Wharf.
The room that was not inexpensive looked onto the roof of the hotel...therefor not scenic! The place is very close to Fishermans Wharf - a plus.

Thanks for staying with us. Glad that you liked our location. Sorry that the view was not better. All buildings in Fisherman's Wharf are restricted to four stories, so a view is rarity here. However, a block or two from here is Pier 39, Maritime Park and Gharadelli Square. It was our pleasure to serve you. Come back soon. Sincerely, Michael Hirsch, General Manager
