Great staff.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Hotel could use some updating. Our room not the cleanest.. Carpet in much need of replacement. Good for a one night stay. Bath and body works products were nice. Breakfast good.

Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere

Posted 29-Jun-2015
Pros: Got me to and from the airport. That is it.
Cons: Everything.
Location: Nothing if you are walking.
Toilet wouldn't flush. Tub fixtures rusted. Very noisy. No dining on property. Very very expensive, they said they are going to re-model, my feeling is that they should have reduced the price until they did. Expedia should't send people here. It looks bad for them as there are to many that do the same job as Expedia, I will go elsewhere in the future.

Very enjoyable

Everyone was very friendly. The pick up shuttle drivers were on time helpful, their on duty 24 hours. So no matter what time you arrived at the airport they will pick you up cabs are very costly...Breakfast is free with a very good variety...

Friendly staff and buffet breakfast was good

Posted 22-Jun-2015
Pros: the breakfast and the front desk staff.
Cons: Start time of the buffet and water pressure in the room.
Location: location is ok, if you have appointments in the Palo Alto and San Jose areas.
We checked in late and got there the front desk staff was very helpful and accommodating. The only problem is I requested for a double/double room but it wasn't available when we got there. We got one King bed with a sofa bed, so it was ok but then the toilet flash was not working so we had to move to another room. The buffet could be set up a little early, maybe at 6AM instead of 6:30AM, because if you have an early flight/appointment to catch, you won't get breakfast; also attendant at the buffet was less friendly.

Glad it was just for one night.

We checked in at 3:30 pm, got luggage out of the car and went to the room. Our room was still being cleaned. Yeah, they gave us a room which was not ready. At round 7 pm, wanted to use the microwave, didn't work,. Decide to call the front desk using the room phone right next to the microwave and it doesn't work. So, using my cell phone I called the front desk and she said someone will be right up. 25 minutes pass, no one has come, yet. Called the front again, she was surprised that no one had come. 15 minutes later, service man finally shows up. Not happy that we called him. He checks to see if appliances are plugged in (yeah, we did that already)..he fluffs the cords and now microwave light comes on and the phone works. So, faulty wiring of the cord. He's bit upset that he had to come up just for that and tells us not to mess around with the cords. We didn't do anything to it! Two hours later, the hair dryer doesn't work properly. It only works if you held it at a strange angle. Again, something faulty wiring of the cord. Good thing I brought my own hair dryer! Breakfast next morning. I wasn't expecting much but when we got there, 30 minutes after they opened, they were out of coffee. I point this out and the person in charge of breakfast area is annoyed. I go to the waffle maker and they are out of batter. I return to the breakfast area two hours later. Again, they were out of batter. It took them 20 minutes to refill. Check out time...they didn't give me my AAA discount.

Hotel was alright, customer service not.

Posted 18-Jun-2015
Pros: Larger room, bed was comfortable.
Cons: Communication and customer service of the front desk ladies.
Location: I really like San Mateo. The location is somewhat near the downtown area with lots of great restaurants and bars.
I got to the hotel and checked in. The two women at the front desk greeted me with a smile. I signed paperwork and was told my room number. I wasn't told that check out was at 11am, and was kicked out by housekeeping. I called back because I thought I may have forgotten something in the room, and the phone rang for a good minute. Someone picked up, and immediately hung up the phone. I called back right after, and instantly (after half a ring) a lady answers. I confronted her about the incident, and being that she is in a customer service field, I'd expect somewhat of better customer service. She gave me attitude, denied the incident, and continued with more attitude. I'm not sure who else it would have been, because I'm assuming if I press re-dial on the phone a second after I was hung up on, it doesn't instantly go to someone else. It's a very small hotel, doubt there's an operator. Regardless of the incidents and customer service (this just happened, so I am still angry/sensitive), the hotel room was alright. It was better than I expected at least. The closet door was broken, but the bed was comfortable, there was a fridge with what looked like a freezer, microwave, TV, desk, and a table. The alarm clock was playing mexican music when I walked in the door. It was actually very creepy, but it was just the alarm. The room did what it needed to do. The breakfast was a typical free continental breakfast. Bagels, cereal, waffles, eggs, sausages

Affordable Stay Close to SFO

Posted 15-Jun-2015
Pros: - Great breakfast - Pleasant room - Helpful staff
Cons: - Overall hotel condition - Improve finess facilities
Location: Close to SFO, BART station, and lots of other hotels.
Even though the overall condition of the hotel is not great, the room decoration was pleasant and the hotel staff was wonderful. Only thing I didn't like about the room was that the closet doors were broken so you couldn't open/close it. They have a free shuttle that not only takes you to/from SFO but also to/from the BART station to get you into San Francisco. Breakfast was suprisingly good, including eggs, sausages and make-your-own waffles. There is nothing to do in the area of the hotel, but most people are just staying here due to the proximity to the airport anyway.
