Close to destination

Posted 17-Apr-2014
Pros: Room size and layout.
Cons: Faster check-in. Room temperature. More seating and breakfast room layout. A little more space between cars to facilitate getting in/out.
Location: Other than next door eating driving is necessary.
Slow check-in, queue! Room was stiflingly hot on arrival. Air conditioner very noisy and ineffectual, obliged to open window to cool room down. Corner of carpet by bathroom door not fitted down, had to be careful not to trip over. Otherwise spacious and comfortable room. Unable to work the TV. Desk to work from. Discount voucher (10%) for dining at Holiday In next door. Good breakfast but insufficient table and chairs for the number of guests and poorly laid out service area.

Nice, clean, inexpensive but a little worn.

Hotel staff was friendly, the room was clean and comfortable. The fitness center and other amenities including the room was a little old and worn, but clean and tidy.

Business trip for 3 days.

Pros: Free breakfast. I liked that I can run down to get a quick bite before work. I appreciated having a refrigerator in the room.
Cons: A couch would be nice to sit back and relax. I don't like to sit my bed unless I'm ready to go to sleep.
Location: Good location right off the highway. I was working in San Carlos. The commute was about 15 minutes. There's shopping and restaurants close by.
Overall it was a good experience. The room was quiet and comfortable. I would've liked a couch to sit on to watch TV. I appreciated the free breakfast. The staff was friendly. My chief dissatisfaction is not with the hotel, but rather the unpublished rate Expedia program. I was expecting a better deal and better hotel quality. The unpublished information was for a 3 star hotel. It was advertised to be 40% off the regular rates. However, I needed a room last minute close to San Carlos. Maybe the rate is fair market pricing.

Cheap Accommodations and it is a MOTEL not a Hotel

Posted 5-Apr-2014
Pros: It was easy to get to.
Cons: The BED!
Location: Close to the water, but you can not see it.
We had to change rooms because the first night the door broke. We couldn't get it closed nor could we get it open to get out. The furniture and furnishings are really outdated. The tub drain barely worked. However, worse of all....the beds were so god-awful that sleeping on the airport floor was far more comfortable. Again, the beds were atrocious. They were very hard like concrete. I had to ask for two extra blankets to fold up under the sheet so I could sleep. If you are staying for a while, fork over the extra bucks for a nice place.

Good hotel for a night or two

Posted 3-Apr-2014
Pros: Cleaniness, spacious, good breakfast
Cons: Sound insulation
Location: Near freeway, and there's a holiday inn restaurant next door (we didn't try it though)
The first room they sent us too we found a ladder and a bunch of old towels, so it was obviously under maintenance. When we told them about it, we were kindly given a bigger room as a substitute, which we didn't know until we arrived at the room. Overall, the staff is nice and there's a good breakfast with eggs, sausage, waffles, etc. One warning though, the walls there are thin.

Great room and great staff

Pros: That the room wasnt tiny and the staff was great.
Cons: Nothing, it was a great experience and we wish we could have stayed longer!
Location: We spent one day in San Francisco and one day driving down HWY 1. It was perfect.
Nelson the front desk staff member who checked us in was amazing. The room was nice, great space for a family. Great little area, felt safe and secure. The breakfast was standard nothing amazing but just what we expected. Didn't have to pay for parking which is great. Cute little town with lots of places to choose to have dinner. Made it simple to head into the city and also to the beach. We are planning to stay here again.
