Convenient to SFO

Decent hotel for SF area

I only stayed here for one night before leaving SF. The reason I chose it because of the shuttle service so that I can drop off my rental car. It took them an hour to come pick me up from the airport. It was ridiculous because it wasn't far from the airport. Dropping us off to the airport next morning was seamless which was a plus. The bed was comfortable and the microwave in my room didn't even work. Just fyi, the roll away bed only offer for rooms that have one bed due to the firecode. I found this out when I called them before checking to ask. The rooms with two queen beds took all the space and there would be no room to put a roll away so I understood after I saw my room. I called down to the desk to ask about the shuttle time in the morning and no one pick up. Otherwise the place is decent and average for SF area.

Lumpy beds

The motel was much more expensive than the hilton we stayed in near the airport and it was horrible! I usually give great reviews but I cannot in this case. The beds were a mess - very lumpy and waved like a water bed when we moved. The motel smelled moldy and I will never stay there again. Big thumbs down!

Good price for a good hotel

We loved the breakfast, the staff was very friendly, and the stay was comfortable. The shuttle service was good since we were not in a hurry to go anywhere. We had slight problems with connecting to the wifi. Receptionist Mida and her father were very kind and helpful to us. The general atmosphere was very good.

Easy to get to from airport

Pros: It's closeness to the airport and downtown after we found it.
Cons: The smell in the room.
Location: Good location close to everything especially if you have a car.
After waiting for 2 hours in a line for a rental car we were finally relieved to get out of the airport. 1st time in San Francisco we got a bit lost trying to find our hotel. We managed to find it eventually no-one else's fault but ours. The hotel receptionist was very nice and told us what we could do around SF but we had already booked and paid for tours online. The hotel needs upgrading but the room was very comfortable a bit musty all in all worth the money.

Problems with internet connection

Cons: The internet connection was unstable. There were actually three WiFi networks. All of them had an unstable signal. I could not send e-mails.
Location: With the hotel as a base, you can explore San Francisco via hotel shuttle and BART (from Millbrae station) on a low budget. Exit BART at Powell St.
I booked a room at this hotel for one night only because I wanted to be close to SFO airport. For that reason I was not interested in its location or its entertainment options as long as it provided clean rooms and a shuttle service to the airport. Since the hotel is somehow associated to the Holiday Inn next door, there was restaurant with bar. The room was quiet. I did not notice any noise coming from the highway that ran by my window at a distance of about 50 yards. My room smelled a bit but the smell faded as my olfactory sensors may have gotten saturated by it. What bothered me a lot was the internet connection, or rather the lack of it. They have 3 WiFi networks. None of them was stable. The signal strength indicator of my computer flipped back and forth between 2 and 5 (max) bars at a rate of seconds. Very unusual. Because of that I was unable to receive and send e-mails or to even connect to the internet. Cloud users, stay away from this hotel! It could as well be that some rooms, including mine (room 301), do not get a good WiFi signal. But since that can be fixed inexpensively, I am wondering if the management even cares. How do I know that my computer was not the culprit? I had an excellent internet connection during the 5 previous days at a hotel downtown San Francisco and I have an internet connection in my office returning home without administering any tweaks.

Pros: it had a restaurant next door at the holiday inn.
Cons: allow the continental breakfast to continue an extra hour
after calling the front desk for a ride to the hotel from the airport, it took over an hour for the ride to appear. that is to long.

We could not have been happier. Room was very clean and staff was very nice and accommodating. Other hotels should learn from them. Customer service not money was their priority.

Squeeky Shower

Cons: The squeeky tub floor...
The room was laid out well, lots of space; the breakfast was very good compared with many we've experienced before; the hotel staff were the best...the tub floor was very noisey...the squeekiness could be heard in the room even with the bathroom door closed...that needs to be corrected...

I had to wait a very long time to get checked in. There was one clerk working the front desk. She was overwhelmed with calls from guests waiting for their shuttle. I booked two rooms. They originally had us set up in different buildings. We ended up in the same building but on different floors.
