“I will go back, definitely!”
Centered near Union square and Japantown, Orchard Hotel's location is strategically placed! You could either go shopping or walk down to Japantown to have some delicious sushi! The overall room and service was beyond satisfactory. The only downside I can think of is that the price of the room does not include breakfast.. so we had to hunt for breakfast on our own! Overall it is a little pricey but it is totally worth it!
“Excellent choice!”
If "green" means "welcome," this this, San Francisco's first green hotel is one of the most hospitable I've stayed in. The hotel is spotless; the staff courteous and extremely helpful, and the amenities first rate. The location is perfect for those travelling to San Francisco for business or personal purposes. It's now a "must stay" hotel on my list.
“Great location, great price”
Felt it was a very convenience and centrally located location. Right on cable car line. Rate was on special so that was an added bonus. If you drive, it's not cheap to park your car - two nights for the car equaled one night for us in the hotel.

I got a great price on this hotel room and was extremely happy with cleanliness and location.
“First visit to SF in 24 years”
The hotel was clean, quiet and close to numerous points of interests. The staff was professional and friendly. The door men were always helpful to my "in-town" family when short term parking was needed. I did not experiance the hotel resturant, as we had plans everynight with family. Next visit I intend to have a least one meal there. I would stay here again on my next visit.
“Very nice stay”
We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights middle of May. The room was very large, compared to European size rooms we are used to. Very comfortable and quiet (8th floor). We overlooked roofs so the view was not fantastic but who cares. We were visiting San Francisco, not staying in the room all day long. Very clean room and bathroom. We took a breakfast one day and it was good. Staff was very friendly and helpful during all our stay. Very well located for all touristic locations. 50 meters away from cable car to Fisherman's wharf, less than 5 minutes from Union Square.
“very clean and comfortable hotel”
We were very pleased with our stay at The Orchard Hotel in San Francisco. It was very clean, the staff was extremely courteous and helpful. It is in a GREAT location - just a couple blocks from Chinatown in one direction and Union Square in the other - right on the cable car line. Very nice stay and if we ever get back to San Francisco, we will stay there again.

Hotel is located very near Union square and China Town. The beds were comfortable.
“Great tourist base for seeing SF”
Selected this hotel partly on previous reviews - and glad we did. Bush Street is fairly central (for Downtown SF, Nob Hill etc) and Union Square is only a 5 minute walk. Very helpful staff, good sized rooms and bathrooms, but breakfast not impressive (Roxanne's Cafe around the corner provided reasonable alternative). Restaurant very good but pricey - Uncle Vito's Pasta across the road cheap and excellent but can be busy (although it does their menu on takeaway also).
