“Excellent choice for seeing San Francisco sights”

“Literally my favourite hotel ever”

I've never bothered reviewing a hotel before but the Omni was so good I just had to. We turned up after a long drive with our 15 month old daughter and were delighted to find the Omni to be much more glamorous and well located than expected given the price we paid. We assumed the service would explain the price but again were pleasantly surprised as we were given a very warm and friendly welcome at the desk (by a lovely man named Benjy, I think). Things just continued well from there. - My daughter was given a welcome pack full of toys which kept her amused throughout the three nights we stayed (thanks to a bit of rationing). - They sent up cookies and milk to the room every evening (supposedly for my daughter but enough for us too) - There was fresh fruit in reception every day - They remembered my daughter's name and said hello every time we passed the front desk. - When my wife unfortunately fell ill and needed treatment (nothing to do with the hotel) they were incredibly helpful and understanding and checked in regularly to see if they could help in any way. In short, this was the best hotel I think I've ever stayed in despite being nowhere near as expensive as others I've tried. I'll be staying at as many Omni's as I can in future and only hope the others can live up to my now ridiculous expectations.

“Always service with a smile”

The staff at this hotel helped make our visit to San Francisco a more enjoyable one. Assistance with transportation, directions, restaurants, etc., was gladly offered. Our needs were effeciently responded to. The housekeeping staff was very friendly and professional. Excessive charges for local calls and the in-room "snacks" didn't particularly set well with me, but that was nothing compared to the prices at the house restaurant. I could not find any justification for what the Chop House charged for their meals. Just one dinner set us back plenty.

“Perfect location and very friendly staff!”

This hotel was perfect for us. It was located near most of the places we wanted to visit or located near a bus or trolley line to get us where we needed to be. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly. They provided maps, directions, friendly and helpful hints and they were always available for us. The hotel itself was beautiful and the rooms were great. I would certainly recommend this hotel and stay there again.

“It was Great”

Felt totally comfortable. Take advantage of the walking/jogging map the hotel provides; takes you to the Ferry Market (when we were there Sundays and Tuesdays were Farmer's Market days, along the bay towards Fisherman's Warf, through a touch of Little Italy, then back towards hotel. You're also just two blocks from Chinatown (catch a morning pork bun at one of the bakeries - yummm).

“Great location, Elegant Hotel, Friendly Service”

Located right between Union Square, Nob Hill and North Beach, this allows easy walking access to all three without being stifled by a teeming tourist scene. The building is gorgeous and impeccably maintained with beautiful marble, granite and woodwork throughout. The staff is helpful and very friendly. Need to go someplace not too far from the hotel? Take one of the black Town Cars outside the hotel at a flat fee of ten bucks because it's as reasonable as a taxi, much more comfortable and the driver is a pro who knows where he's going (not always the case with taxi drivers).

The service and staff were exceptional. The room could have used another chair or at least an ottoman,but considering the size of the room this may not have been possible. The location was great for the things we wanted to do.
