“Beyond our expectations”

The hotel is a well decorated boutique hotel right in the middle of Union Square. Excellent location with even better prices. Another hotel on the same block was charging 3 times that of Crescent. The partnership with the garage a few doors down also saved us money. The rooms are cozy with flat screen tvs and spacious showers. I am very impressed.

“Great Hotel”

The only bad thing I can say about this hotel is that the room was very very small. Not even enough room to put both suitcases on the floor (we had to stack them on top of each other in the corner). Apart from that we had a very pleasant stay. The hotel is perfectly located by Union Square and the place was decorated to a high standard. We got a very reasonable rate compared to other hotels in the same area, and would definately stay here again.

“Great deal for a small room”

We stayed in the Crescent junior for a great price. The hotel was very nice and comfortable, but the room was super small, as expected. It is a great room for one person, but a bit tight for two people. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, and the location was great. There are not many other amenities at this hotel yet since it's new, but everything you need is just a few steps away. If you can get a good deal on a bigger room, that would be the way to go.

“Small but enjoyable”

The rooms were small and sparse but very lovely decorated as was the hotel in general. Very shabby chic with ultra modern bathroom. I love the books provided in the room although they were mostly cliche, hip intellectual classics there were a couple of different genres stuck in there as well. Staff was friendly and considerate. Excellent location. I enjoyed myself.

“Great Boutique Hotel in the center of San Francisco”

The Crescent Hotel is conveniently located in the centre of San Francisco right near Union Square and China Town. This stylish hotel is well maintained and although the rooms were cozy, they were clean, bright and had great bathrooms. I would highly recommend you stay here on your next trip to San Fran.

“Excellent @ the Crescent”

I really liked this hotel, I am definitely staying there again. Its location is perfect, just a short walk away from union square, as well as chinatown. I really liked my room, it was on the 8th floor, and it was adorable. The staff was very nice and helpful too!

“Great Hotel”

Our only issue is about the noise in the back alley at 6AM, but we realize it's a city.

“Don't make the guests walk 6 flights of stairs.”

This hotel is in a great location. It's a 5 minute walk to Union Square and if you go the opposite direction, it's a 5 minute walk into Chinatown. The staff who checked me in was very friendly. The elevator only worked on the first night and then the other 2 days, it kept malfunctioning. The last day was the only time I had to use the stairs. I hiked up 6 flights. It was very very tiring. If I decide to stay here again, I really hope the elevator gets fixed. I'm just glad I didn't need to carry my bags up 6 flights on the first night. I wasn't a fan of the breakfast. The hard boiled eggs were ice cold.

“Excellent service, great location...will definitely be back again!”

We are a group of 4 from New Zealand and after a long 12 hour flight it was so nice to arrive in San Francisco to excellent service and a great hotel. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Location was also very good - close to Union Square and Chinatown so we pretty much walked everywhere. We caught a tram to the piers which was very easy from that location. We definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting San Francisco and should we come back to San Francisco again we will stay here!!

“Great location! Modern style to a boutique hotel.”

Rooms small but comfortable in a updated modern design. Continental breakfast was a plus although the area decor could be improved. Only one elevator and very old; a slight inconvenience. Biggest downfall was poor water pressure in the shower. We would gladly book again for great location, reasonable value, surprising quiet from traffic noise, interesting bar on 2nd floor and friendly staff.
