“San Fran. with a Great View!!”
Loved the rooms with kitchenette with 4 adults in our room it made for super convenience since we were there for 3 nights/4 days. Really liked the smaller size of the hotel. Front desk people know U after 1 night!! Super Service!! I hadn't been that spoiled in many years since most of our trips are on a tighter budget and use motels, but this was for my parents 50th anniversary and family from Quebec, Canada. All 7 of us left after a great but too short (in my opinion) visit to San Francisco. :)
“Great value in a great neighborhood”
I enjoy walking and the staff at the hotel gave me numerous options for walking around the area to visit amazing shops, and visit local parks and trails close to the hotel. The hotel furnishes homemade cookies and hot coffee and tea every afternoon. The bed was very comfortable and the room very quiet. This was a perfect hotel for a quiet get a way, but with access to all the amazing sites of San Francisco.
“Needed a hotel close to Mount Zion Hospital”
Walking distance to Mount Zion Hospital. I did my bowel prep at the hotel then had colonoscopy the next day. Being able to walk to the morning appointment and have someone pick me up afterward close by was so nice. Since you cannot drive for 24 hours after your procedure it was the perfect location. The staff at the hotel were very helpfull. Great place to stay.
“Little Gem”
This hotel is one block from Pacific Heights and is a real treat. Very convenient. Well staffed. Very comfortable.
“Great, as always”
We have been staying at the Laurel Inn for the last 8 years, due to it's close proximity to the University Of San Francisco. (Two of our sons attended school there.) It has always been a nice place to stay with easy bus access to all locations in the city. The people working there are helpful with any questions, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Drawbacks: Only a problem if it happens to be really hot, but there is no air conditioning. It can be a little loud with sounds of traffic (you ARE in the city), and this last visit we were charged for parking which used to be free. We still feel it's a wonderful hotel, and if you want something other than a sterile chain hotel, you will enjoy your stay.
“Didn't want to go home”
I had reservations before I arrived. However, from the minute I walked in the door, I was impressed. The front desk clerk was very helpful and kind. The room was immaculate and roomy. The beds were more comfortable than my own at home. The hotel offered complimentary breakfast of eggs, toast, pastries, sliced meats, bagels, juice, tea, and coffee. The neighborhood is so centrally located, I was able to walk everywhere with ease. Taxi and bus transportation is also conveniently accessed at the hotel. There are also plenty of good restaurants in the area to eat breakfast. The hotel also offers guests passes to the Jewish Community Center across the street, which has an amazing gym facility. The Laurel Inn was special for me because of the location. I could walk to all my favorite neighborhoods and up and down all the hills. It also is away from most of the tourist spots. Overall, I had a wonderful stay at the Laurel Inn. I would definitely stay there again.
“Great place in SF and dog friendly too!”
We loved everything about it. Very comfortable room, wonderful breakfasts, quiet, lovely...
“Great business stay near Presidio”
My business in the Presidio required a stay nearby and access to public transportation. The Laurel Inn was a great choice, which is also convenient to buses that run downtown. The hotel was clean, modern and convenient. Staff were friendly and accomodating. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Will stay here again!
“A real gem - will definitely return”
Can't imagine a better place to stay. Quiet neighborhood location near the Presidio, with Muni (bus) service right outside the door. Staff friendly, helpful and efficient. Continental breakfast had great coffee. Room more spacious than the usual - even had a comfortable sofa. Parking secure and included in reasonable rate. Stayed in 4 other hotels on this trip and this one was by far the best!
“well appointed place”
this is a smaller/older place in a residential area, but the furnishings & decor are well updated and nice. The breakfast is a big plus (as is free parking).
