“Good location”
Friendly staff, nice hotel. Room was a little small but it is SF and the price was right.

“The Hotel to stay in, in Union Square”
Went on a weekend getaway in mid February and it was wonderful... The Hotel was an amazing boutique hotel, kept up very well and has a great frieplace to sit and have a glass of wine. The Hotel is located right near all the shopping and has easy access to the Rail Cars... Couldnt have asked for a better trip or a better hotel. Will most definitely return to The Larkspur, it had everythig we needed to make our vacation wonderful...

“Very comfortable and convenient.”
We made our first visit to San Francisco last week and stayed at the Larkspur Hotel Union Square. we spent 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Hotel is very charming, the staff very friendly and helpful with arranging tours and transport. The room was small but impeccably clean and quite comfortable. The beds were very comfortable and the linens pristine white and crisp! The hotel is centrally located and just enough off the busy streets to avoid most of the traffic noise. We will definitely book to stay again on our next trip!
“Great Value - SUPER location!”
The hotel was great! Fantastic value. I had two twin beds which were tiny, but the room was clean and comfortable. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and friendly and the location was SUPERB! Right next to the Marriott and the Hyatt - seconds from Union Square and minutes from the Convention Center. The fireplace in the lobby was wonderful and I really enjoyed my stay!

A wonderfully comfortable bed, clean freshly painted bathroom, big tv. Everything we needed, as well as the best location in San Fran. Small room and a little tired, but who was there long enough to worry, highly recommend
“Excellent hotel”
Wonderful experience with the Larkspur. The total staff was outstanding at their respective jobs and friendly as could be. One gets a homey feeling about the place. The hotel is situated within easy walking of Union Square and China Town and 1/2 block off of Powell where the cable cars run. Couldn't beat the location...or the quailty of our stay.

Great little hotel. Perfect location. Rooms are small, but most rooms in older hotels around Union Square are. Big bonus for me, you can open the windows. I really like some fresh air and some of the city noise instead of listening to a heater or air conditioner fan. Staff was very nice.

I stayed overnight and enjoyed a clean, comfortable room. All the rooms were located away from the street, so very quiet. The grounds & decor were reminiscent of an old country Inn. I took a walk & found the area safe and charming with beautiful old homes with overhanging trees & lovely landscaping. Location is close to shopping and local attractions. Complimentary breakfast was served buffet style and included thick bacon, sausage, eggs scrambled, plain or with chorizo, hotcakes, country fried potatoes which I did not have but looked as if they were freshly cooked. There was a section offering bagels, english muffins and bread with a toaster and butter, jam & cream cheese. Fresh cut melon was served that day and there was cereal and milk . Coffee was good. ( Guess you can tell I liked the breakfast...) Overall, an enjoyable stay.
