“nice hotel for a long stay”
My husband and I stayed at this hotel during our trip to San Francisco and we were pleased with the hotel minus a couple of setbacks. We had a room with a kitchen and our fridge made an annoying sound in the middle of the night. Luckily we called the front desk and they sent maintenance to fix it. We slept really good. I do recommend that if you get a room with a kitchen to be cautious and bring your own cooking utensils. The cookware is shared by everyone so you have to go the front desk to get your cookware. Overall, we were pleased with our stay.
“millbrae”
location was ok. parking was good. beds were a little hard. bedding was acceptable. bathroom could have used some upgrade. spa was out of order. breakfast was nice make ur own waffles. overall if I had to I would use them again.
“Noisy but workable.”
Thank god I had quiet neighbors. The hotel itself is very nice, clean and convenient but I could hear every word of the cell phone conversation in the next room. I was lucky they didn't have the TV blaring until 3am. Also, I could hear everything that "happened" in their bathroom. The hotel would benefit from some soundproofing.
“Comfortable 1-night layover”
Free shuttle to/from SFO. You must call ahead for pick up. I waited less than 15 minutes for the shuttle, enough time for me to pick up my bag & walk over to the curb. Morning shuttle to SFO was on time. Close to SFO, about 10-15 minute drive (shuttle bus also picks up guests from other hotels). From the drive, I can see that the hotel is nearby a few restaurants and some are within walking distance. Lobby is small, but it is nice and bright. I think there is a total of 3 floors. I was put in a 2nd floor room. Nice size room with a kitchen. Kitchen is a good size that fits a stove, oven, microwave, fridge, and a sink. Kitchen does not have any utensils and have fake cabinets (when you open the cabinet door, there's no storage space as they are there to hide ducts etc). Comfortable king-sized bed. Bathroom quite small and water pressure is ok, not the strongest. Walls are thin. I could hear the next door guests even when they're talking at a normal conversational level. You could hear people walk by outside of your room and people chatting outside. I was lucky that when I was there, the guests were not noisy at all. The floors are also thin. If you happen to have an upstairs neighbor who thumps a lot, I could imagine you would be able to hear the footsteps. Free breakfast but it was horrible. I should've skipped it. Requested a wake up call & received one. Would stay here again the next time I have a layover.
“OK for just overnight”
Name was changed to Quintos just last month, so we had some difficulty finding it (Comfort Inn) at first. Some of the electric outlets in our room does not work, so even though there is a microwave machine in the room, it won't turn on. It appears that renovation will occur in time, but things are a bit run down at the moment (Jan 2010).
“Don't Go There”
The Hotel was very hard to find. It had just changed its name from Comfort Inn. And the cab could not find it. The pool was not heated and the Hot tub was being repaired and out of service. The ad said free in room internet but the internet was down.
“No Thank You at Any Price”
During a week long trip up the California coast we spent four other nights at La Quinta Inns in different places and were very pleased at what we got for our money. So we assumed that the La Quinta name meant a certain standard. WRONG. Althought the room was large enough and had a fridge and micro, the carpet and the paint were so horrible it was almost impossible to get past that. The carpet was so threadbare and filthy that I could not put my bare feet on it, the paint was so dirty it was hard to sleep, Additionally, late at night individuals checked in next door and were extremely rouckous and noisy, hotel staff refused to addresss the situation in any way. The spa was out of order and did not appear it will be fixed anytime soon. Neighborhood was good and it was very close to SFO but there are others close, spend your money elsewhere.
“One step above poor”
I was alone on business so didn't care where I stayed. This is basically at the level of an old motel six but with a kitchen. A family traveling on a budget would be fine. I would not stay here again but I am kind of a marriott type.
“Worst La Quinta hotel in America”
Hotel was under construction, loud noises constantly, malfunctioning electric, unpleasant and unhelpful staff, no available parking, too many problems to list at once. Smoke alarm went off in middle of night for no reason. When I called front desk, was told to open the door until it stopped ringing - at 4am!
“Not Impresssed”
This property was dirty and very run down.
