“Girls Getaway”
I had not seen my sister in 2.5 years. I live in Orlando and she lives in LA. My husband had a conference in SF for a couple of days so us girls decided to have a mini vacation. I found the King George by accident, the reviews, location and price were good so I booked it for 2 days. This hotel is super clean and the staff was so nice and helpful. It is small but a beautiful historic hotel. If you know that going in, you should have no problems with your stay. Thanks King George for making our reunion a weekend we will never forget.
“Good Location!!!!”
This hotel is centrally located. Easy access to most of the places. One thing about it is that there are a lot of bumps around the blocks, that's the only complain, but other than that the staff are nice, clean rooms and reasonable price
“Great value”
Being a very old hotel, I must compliment the hotel for upgrading it within the small rooms. The staff were just great! The reason I like your hotel, is I like the small rooms, unlike most other people. I will stay at the King George each time I am in S.F. If I have a complaint, it was I could hear my associate, through the wall, in the next room, snore all night. Thank you for a very nice stay.
“The best option for its location and price!”
I had been to this hotel about 6 years ago. Location was great but upkeep was not that good. Since I had a short business trip I decided to try it back. It was the best decision I could have made. The hotel had been renovated, the staff was very helpful and again the location was great (1 block from Union square). I would return to it any time!
“Convenient boutique hotel”
Great location, easy walking access to downtown. Not too far from waterfront (20 min walk).
“A Real Gem”
The King George is a wonderful hotel in an unbeatable location - close to shopping, museums and theaters. To top it off the staff is knowledgeable and very helpful

The staff were super friendly and helpful. The hotel was gorgeous! Such a pleasant stress free experience compared to all other places we stayed at so far in California for this low a cost. Just fantastic! You would think it was much more expensive than it was!
“Quaint and fun!”
I wasn't sure what to expect from the hotel... the rooms are a little small but the charm and atmosphere makes up for that. The staff are absolutely wonderful and always willing to help you with whatever you need. The hotel is well kept and the employees seem very cheerful! The hotel bar is small but fun and Drew the bartender is fantastic, very funny and helpful and an overall good-guy. The rooms have iPod / iPhone docks in the alarm clocks which is a nice touch! The one thing I would say it to try and get a higher room that is towards the back of the hotel to minimize the noise. Also the wireless internet is very slow and unreliable but they are upgrading that. I would definitely recommend this hotel and I plan to stay here again when I return on vacation.

The staff was excellent, friendly and very helpful in providing directions to where we wanted to go and arranging transportation.
“Antique Gem”
The room was smaller than I'm used to but that seems to be the norm for larger cities and it served the purpose for my trip (taking my son to college). The room had two twin size beds which worked better than doubles for the size of the room. The hotel seemed to be quite old but was in good working condition and well maintained. Its age gave it a certain ambiance, like a well cared for antique. Bath fixtures were modern. Expedia price was well below posted price in the room itself. Location was central to the area we were visiting and there were several good restaurants within walking distance. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. If I need to travel out to San Francisco again, I would definitely stay at the King George Hotel.
