“Great great experience!!”

First time in SF and this hotel couldn't be better! Location is just amazing!! Walking distance from major attractions: cable car stop, fishermans wharf and all the piers as well as the ghiardelli plaza,Starbucks and even Walgreens. Pretty hotel, clean and yummy breakfast too! I would totally stay here again, super friendly staff that even let me borrow a microwave to sterilize my baby's bottles. Super experience!

“"Good but not Great"”

The hotel is well located in/to Fisherman's Wharf and a close walk to North Beach, China Town, etc. I found the service good at the lower end (bell boys, vallet, servers, etc., but the check in service was stiff and unfriendly. On the last day I stopped to ask a question to a person at the front desk but was quickly blown off to another person who was on the phone. Perhaps it was an omen of things to come as the same night a party in the next room began around 11 pm and was still going on when I checked out around 4:30 am. Repeated calls did raise security but after two warning it was apparent these partyer's were in the for the long haul. Otherwise the experience was a good one with even a small yet clear view of the water....

Area recommendations
Fisherman's Wharf is a bit touristy but has most everything worth seeing within walking or public transportation distance. After 1-3 days one can rent a car and see the outlying parts of the city and county or head for the wine country or Muir Woods, etc. This is my 10th or 11th tiem to San Francisco and I never get tired of it. It is interesting to note that walking on the street I heard many languages other than Englsih and not limited to Chinese and Italian.
Dining
For the most part the food is not very good at Fisherman's Wharf although there are exceptions. However, do try the sourdough and some crab or crab cakes. Dinner in North Beach or Chinatown is a much better option.

“Great Price, Great Hotel”

I was impressed with the professionalism of the staff. They obviously are guest oriented ..... very friendly. They were ready to help in any way they can. The front desk, bell desk, valet, maintenance, and restaurant staff were exceptional. I felt pampered. Room was very clean. I would definitely recommended this Hotel to visitors to SF.

Area recommendations
I highly recommended seeing Beach Blanket Babylon in North Beach. It is a hilarious and uplifting show. It is not far from the Hotel. North Beach has some wonderful restaurants and beautiful churches. Enjoyed lunch at Alioto's on Fisherman's Wharf close by the Hotel. For foodies, Gary Danko is a restaurant which is a must, also not far from the Hotel. Make reservations far in advance or ask to be on a wait list. At the Wharf, don't miss the delicious crab, shrimp, clam chowder, and sour dough bread. Boudin's (bakery, restaurant, and shop) is a fun experience. So many more places. SF is a unique and wonderful city!

“We want to go back.”

We had a great stay at the Hyatt at Fisherman’s Wharf. The employees at Registration were all extremely friendly and helpful as well as the Valets. I was not impressed with the Concierge. When I approached her desk she was working on the computer and she did not acknowledge me. Once she did acknowledge me she did not have the information I was looking for (in regards to Chinatown). The only complaint about the condition of the hotel was that the hallways needed to be vacuumed. But our room looked great. This was a great location for us. It was just a short walk to the Wharf and a little further to Pier 39. We would not hesitate to stay here again.
