“Sept 2010 Stay at Vertigo”

Vertigo is now our preferred mid-range hotel on Nob Hill. The neighborhood is very, very quiet, but close to everything. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the bathrooms lovely. We had a great time.

I'll keep this short, this hotel was great! Very reasonable for San Fran, clean, looked to be newly remodeled and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I will stay there again.

“What a wonderful time”

Fabulous hotel which is only 7 blocks from Union Square with good public transport links. The hotel is with easy waliking distance to Chinatown and the shops around Union Square. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the renovated rooms were a pleasure to be in.

“Best hotel in SF”

Everything about this hotel is wonderful! Staff is top-notch (the front desk staff ordered our Alcatraz tickets for us!), it was clean and everyone was wonderful. Not to mention the location is AWESOME! close to Union Sw(5-10 min walk) and a 5-min walk to the cable car

Hotel très bien situé et de très bon rapport qualité/prix. Proche du centre commerçant d'union square et du cable car. Décoration moderne. Attention certaines chambres (un peu moins chères) ne sont pas rénovées. Chambres spacieuses, confortables. Acès Wi-Fi gratuit dans les chambres et poste internet disponible dans le hall de l'hôtel. Café/Thé disponible à volonté le matin dans le hall de l'hôtel

“Vertigo: Will Book Again”

The Hotel Vertigo was awesome. It was exactly as described, quiet, clean and stylish. I will be staying there again on my next trip to SF.

“Great location, vary nice and helpful staff”

Hotel Vertigo is not the most elegant from Frisco hotels, but it is clean, tidy and hotel employees are well trained, polite and helpful. It's a good value for the money. We were in the "old room" but I have heard that renovated ones are lovely. I would recommend this hotel to all tourists with thinner wallets. If I'll be back in San Francisco I'll probably stay in the same place, but maybe in the renovated room...

“Modern, hip, helpful”

I sighed relief when I got a renovated room, as expected. The reservation said "deluxe" but wasn't definitively one of the newer rooms with the cool interior. When using the steps instead of the one small, old elevator, I saw the few lower floors yet un-renovated. They are drab and way outdated. So the room was great, and the service was just as good. The front desk was always friendly and helpful to us, suggesting passes, shuttles and walking routes that would enhance our trip. If I continue to get good rates at this hotel via Expedia or another site, I'd never need to choose another hotel in San Francisco.
