“Hotel Vertigo”
Excellent refurbishment has given this hotel a luxury feel at a very reasonable price ( midweek on Expedia at least).Tastefully decorated with some unusual pieces of furniture (although the lobby was n't quite finished in May09).Pleasant and helpful reception. Complimentary coffee in the lobby. The film Vertigo is showing in the lobby. Not far to California-Van Ness cable car route.
“Home away from Home”
My son moved to San Francisco last summer. Every two months I come and stay at the Hotel Vertigo for a long weekend. They always welcome me with" welcome home."I love the hotel for its friendly staff and funky, functional decor. Its in a great location also. Can't wait to go home to the Vertigo!
“Boutique hotel in lower Knob Hill.”
If you are looking for a comfortable place to stay in San Francisco - this is it. The hotel is old, but well maintained and in a safe neighborhood. I've been a guest at this property on 4 occasions and I've found the service to be consistent each time. Many restaurants and bars are within walking distance as well as the Powell Street cable car.
“Amazing Vertigo!”
Beautiful hotel. We were given a newly refurbished room, wich was always very clean, quiet and comfortable.
“Hotel Vertigo....awesome!”
The Hotel Vertigo was a nice place to stay in San Francisco. I would recommend this place to others. It is close to the financial district which has a lot of shopping and food. Also, it is in a good locaiton to catch public transportation throughout the rest of the city.
“Perfect location”
The Hotel Vertigo is in a prime location for those looking to experience many different areas of San Francisco. Just blocks away from Union Square, we were easily able to walk to outstanding restaurants and shopping. There was also a good pizzeria two doors down. Pier 33 (Alcatraz Island) was a short $10 cab ride away too. All in all an excellent experience.
