“Nice Visit”
Classic old SF hotel. Small, nicely appointed rooms, fairly quiet. Street includes nice art galleries. Close to Union Square. Great staff. Very helpful with dinner reservations, maps, cabs, shuttles, etc.
“Would definately stay again.”
Small boutique hotel with liteary theme. Right on bus line and close to cable car line. Exceeded our expectations. Desk staff offered great suggestions. We bought a "City Pass" which included museum admissions and bay cruise, and unlimited bus and cable car access. Well worth the money. Only suggestion would be offering a continental breakfast. Only coffee was available. Hotel is slightly east of the Tenderloin, but we felt safe at 9 - 10 PM.
“Wiill return lovely hotel clean quiet staff was wonderful”
Enjoyed our stay
“Great Location”
Great hotel just west of Union square. There are plenty of restaurants to explore nearby. The Powell cable car line is just a couple of blocks away along with many different places to go shopping.
“A cute hotel”
We had a really nice stay at Hotel Rex. It is a cute hotel with really cozy rooms and I would definitely stay there again in the future.
“Charming and very convenient”
A great little boutique hotel in the heart of San Francisco's shopping district and Union Square. Wonderful restaurants nearby and in the hotel. Easy walking distance to North Beach, China Town and the Embarcadero. The service was friendly and very professional and the price was right. We'll definitely be back!
“Overall stay”
Room is clean and neat although it is not a big room like most of the hotels; very comfortable and the rate is reasonable; the only drawback is the reception of wi-fi and telephone reception are not always there, either easily disconnected or not picked up. I have to walk out of the hotel to make the call. I have already recommended to two other friends.
“Another great experience!”
My second visit to this great hotel. Perfectly located and wonderfully staffed. Kudos to the front desk staff for their professionalism and style. If you want a centrally-located hotel that epitomizes the SF experience, then this is it. Funky and stylish with service and value.
“'RexTastic'”
Simply the best San Francisco hotel we have stayed in. Very helpful and friendly staff made our wedding anniversary stay very special. Add to this a great location, a lovely 1930's interior and a free glass of pretty good wine each evening, make the Rex a perfect place to stay. Only those who enjoy faceless chain hotels will fail to grasp how good this hotel is.
“Can't wait to go back”
Hotel Rex was quaint, clean, quiet and couldn't ask for a better location! The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Loved the late check out and can't stop raving about the location. Most definetely would stay again and would recommend Hotel Rex to family and friends for sure!
