“Great place to stay!”

This is my second time traveling to the Bay area to attend football games at Candlestick park. Both visits I stayed at this hotel - and its wonderful. The hotel is absolutely GREAT restaurant was food was great - and staff was friendly. Ran into a hiccup with a reservation I made for an additional day...when I arrived they had canceled my reservation. Thankfully they were able to accomodate me with the additional night for which I need to stay.

“Economic, in an awesome way.”

It was good, everything was clean. Walls are a little thin but overall no problem at all. It's next to a highway (like, right next to it) so make sure you request for a quiet room. Also, rooms on the 4th floor might have weak wireless signal according to the hotel staff. Again, overall a great experience.

“Great Hotel, don't hesitate”

I am a tough critic, and I never write these comments, but this is really an exceptional three star hotel (not sure what the actual rating is, but it should be a SOLID three stars). I stay mostly in Hampton Inn hotels and I am an HHonors member, but I may have to rethink my allgience hotels for business trips.

“"Beware of the hotel's shuttle service and hotel location!”

My overall experience at the hotel itself was great! The rates were fantastic for San Francisco. However one problem we encountered at the hotel was with the "shuttle" service provided by the hotel. They really do not have a "shuttle bus or van". Do not look for any hotel shuttle bus service at the airport either. None of the hotel shuttle buses travel the distance to this hotel. The hotel will send a cab for you and the cab ride is free for travel between the airport and the hotel. If you do not rent a car, you will need to depend on this service to take you to and from the hotel to the airport. At the airport ,you can take the BART into the city. We always had trouble getting a ride back from the airport to the hotel in the evenings. There were always complications with the cab driver that came to pick us up! Another thing to consider if you stay at this hotel is that this hotel is far away from the city of San Francisco .None of the tour bus companies offer pick-up and drop-off services to this hotel. There are no other restaurants or shopping near this hotel. However, the food at the hotel was quite good! There

“Would go again. It was decently nice. Had a better time than originally, w/incident at Travelodge.”

Manager at Expedia handled the bad situation at Travelodge very well. Just took two hours to sort it all out, but when it was all said and done, expedia handled my situation fair and just. I hope that they did deal with the Travelodge and that they never are able to discriminate and do what they did with anyone else. Expedia made sure I was taken care of and because of that, I will continue to do business with them because I know that even if their price is a little higher than the real cost at the hotel, that I have Expedia to back me up and make sure I am not stuck. They will handle whatever situation that may arise in a timely and professional manner. They will even go out of their way to make sure it is fair and just.

“better than I expected”

at first, I was scared because the neighborhood where it was located was questionable looking. After I checked in, the hotel was excellent. The rooms were huge and the staff was more than helpful.

“Nice clean room, right next to the interstate”

Don't go there for the view, its literally right next to a two story highway wall. (And getting off the highway going southbound to the hotel is a grand adventure). But the room's are clean and quiet, who can ask for anything more.

“Great place to stay when going to san francisco”

My wife and I went on a vacation to visit San Francisco and couldn't be happier with the San Mateo area and this Holiday Inn. The town is beautiful and has tons of restaurants and coffee shops to visit. The staff was courteous, kind, and accommodating. A+ stay. My only complaint, if you could even call it that, is that the bathroom faucet in our suite was placed a bit far back on the sink. Aside from that, everything was perfect.

“A very enjoyable experience”

The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the manager provided me with a complimentary taxi/shuttle ride to and from the airport, which was fabulous. The rooms were large, immaculate, newly decorated and renovated. Breakfast at the Bistro was delicious and room service was very quick and all the staff I met were very people friendly. A great place to stay!
