“Great value”
We were pleasantly surprised with the room. Nice location -- within walking distance to North Beach & Chinatown. Very clean room. Friendly staff. Free parking! We would certainly stay here again.
“Extermely well satisfied”
This hotel provided all the comforts, with in walking distance to all attractions in all directions. Front desk staff extremely helpful at all times with heaps of dos and don'ts for the surrounding areas and unsuspecting traveler.

Great location and *really* helpful and friendly staff. Beds were comfy and the cable was comprehensive (if you're like me and you care about telly)! Excellent in every way.
“Great place to stay”
My family of 4 enjoyed staying at this hotel.The rooms seemed a little tight,but had what we needed.It was within walking distance of many eating places and even Fishermans Wharf.If you didn't want to walk ,the bus was at the corner.The staff at the hotel front desk went out of their way to help us see and do what we wanted.They were very knowledgable.The on the go breakfast was plenty even though it was just set up on a small table in the office.The free parking was great.
“Location, Location, Location”
A small friendly hotel located a convenient location. Room was kept very clean and was a reasonable size. Good parking facilitates available. A simple but good quality continental breakfast is provided. Our flight from the UK was delayed and there was still a welcome when arriving on the doorstep at 1.00am. It is an easy half hour walk to Fishermans Wharf and Union Square. The Russian Hill area itself is quite safe and has some good restaurants and cafes. If you arrive late, as we did, then ring ahead to warn the hotel as the staff work full-time stints for two weeks at a time.
“Convenient & free parking”
Free parking a plus. Should bring small car, though. Close to Opera House & Civic Center. Great restaurants in neighborhood. More local atmosphere than tourist-a real plus for us. Office staff very friendly-will make restaurant reservations for you. Small, clean room, but more than adequate.
“Great little find”
What a great little find... Centrally located with the bonus of free parking in a nice part of the city - and a stone's throw from some fabulous bars and restaurants. Reception staff were welcoming and knowledgeable about the surrounding area and places of interest. Would highly recommend.
“Castle Inn, San Francisco - great!”
We chose this hotel based on the free parking and overall guest rating. We visit San Francisco a few times a year for fun. Since street parking is pretty much non-existent unless you're a resident and paid parking is $24+ for 24 hours it can be pretty frustrating if you have to drive to the city. We decided to give this hotel a try and didn't expect very much from it. So we were really surprised to find it's awesome for the price! It has generic motel rooms but everything works, it's really clean, comfortable, and the fridge/microwave combo is great. The front desk staff were awesome! There are local markets in the neighborhood to get food if you want to cook but there are so many restaurants on Polk Street that are very reasonable that you'll probably just eat out every night. This is the hotel we'll be staying in from now on!
“Good Solution”
It is a budget hotel but with key advantages like FREE parking and FREE wireless internet. Staff was very nice and gave us good suggestion. Polk St is good for easy fun at night: restaurants, pubs and the "Rouge" club are at walking distance. Public transportation is close in Van Ness. I will look for availability on my next time in The City.
“Great San Francisco Motel!”
Staff was very helpful and motel is clean and comfortable. Great location for all public transportation. Safe neighborhood- was out walking after dark and never felt unsafe. Would recommend and will stay here when we return.
