This was a lovely personal hotel to stay in. Small size hotel, so not too loud or crowded. Bathroom was a highlight....Japanese style shower and tub. Not all rooms have the same great bathroom, I was very lucky to get the deep tub, so you might want to request it. The bed was comfortable and cozy, and I had a great stay. I even got sick one night, and had to call down for help, and someone took care of my needs quickly. I definitely recommend this hotel for a quiet stay. Also, I was there for a training conference, and the room we used was spacious, and the catered breakfasts were yummy!

"A Wonderful Retreat!"
We requested and we were very pleasantly given a complimentary upgrade from a deluxe king to a studio suite. The king bed was in a cozy sleeping alcove and the living room had a large window with a sunny view of Nob Hill. We had early check-in to unpack and then went to a theatre matinee. Returning to the hotel, we had a cocktail in the historic Redwood Room. Our room was so inviting and comfortable, we used room service for dinner and breakfast the next morning. We wanted a relaxing escape and the Clift proved to be perfect.

"Very comfortable & stylish, great location"
I loved my stay at Hotel Diva - I wanted a comfortable place to unwind for a few days that wasn't crazy expensive, and this hotel was perfect. The bed was the most comfortable thing I've ever slept in, and I loved the style of the rooms. The bathroom was also great, floor to ceiling mirrors, tons of space, and excellent shower pressure. The lounges in the hotel were also very cool, although I didn't see anyone using them. The elevator was a tiny bit slow because the second elevator was out of order, but it was a very small inconvenience. Location was nice and central - close to BART, Union Square, cable car stop, and walking distance to many interesting areas. One thing to note is that Geary St does border the Tenderloin area, so if you are out at night you may want to make sure you know the streets to avoid.

"Great location, amazing staff!"
I booked through Expedia and had no reservations about choosing this Hotel as I had stayed there before. The mistake I made was in consideration of bed size. I thought I had booked 2 queen rooms but they ended up being full beds which are quite the snuggle for 2 adults :). I admitted my error to the check in staff and while he did need to confirm availability, he upgraded all 4 of us to a king room at no additional charge. That was really appreciated! We were very comfortable in our rooms and had a nice view, too.

"Comfortable, nice staff and so nicely located"
It was a very nice discovery in SFO to stay in this "not too big" hotel so nicely located at Union Square. Room was comfortable. Don't expect any city view, there is none but who cares...you are in the heart of the city already. Very nice pleasant lady welcoming you and ready to help you at any stage of your stay. Generous breakfast available every morning and also wine, cheese and nuts at 5:30pm. Very decent prices for that level of service.

"Great hotel by Fisherman's Wharf & Ghiradeli Squar"
I came to the hotel at 9:30 AM, expecting I'd have to check my back until check-in in the afternoon. They told me that no room in the class I booked was available but gave me a free upgrade to a view room rather than making me wait! What a nice touch, and representative of the service you expect from a hotel like this!

The image of San Francisco’s fog-swept waterfront will stick with you long after you head for home.

Head out into the fog and visit the Ferry Building Marketplace, located along the Embarcadero on the northeastern side of the city. Not only is this the main artery for ferry traffic heading into the city, it’s also home to a wonderful farmers market full of fresh local produce, meats, and much more. You can sit down for a delicious breakfast, or stock up on goods to bring back to your hotel for later consumption. As the fog lifts, go west to the Marina District. Here’s where you’ll find upscale shopping, along with a beautiful waterfront park and a view of San Francisco Bay, Alcatraz Island, and the Golden Gate Bridge.

Any trip to the big city means a visit to Union Square is in order. It’s not just a great place for shopping, though the square is home to many prominent boutiques and department stores. It’s also full of restaurants and cafes, and there’s always something going on, including a Christmas tree and menorah lighting during the winter and art shows in the summer. The magic continues in a San Francisco boutique hotel; when you stay in one, you’ll enjoy custom styling, little touches like unique artwork, and meals cooked from locally grown produce.

No matter what time of year you decide to travel, Expedia.ca will get you there with big savings. You’ll get our Best Price Guarantee when you book a hotel in San Francisco, leaving you with more money in your pocket to spend on the important things like another fine meal at Union Square.
