Shower head needs replacing. Difficult to find good early morning coffee close to the hotel. Most places with in a block or two don't open until 9am. Hotel is generally in good shape and the staff really are great! Also, the restaurants around Filmore are quite good especially, Bun Mee, the Grove and Sweet Maple.

"Great location for SF!"
Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was next to utility room so a bit noisy. Great location, close to shopping and dining. It was nice to come back from a long day to a complimentary glass of wine.

"Frequent Visitor"
This is may second stay at the Kensington and the customer service has greatly improved over the years. I normally stay at the Parc 55 Hotel with it's great location, but by far I prefer the Kensington Park. Wonderful old world charm and the room was wonderful, even though the bathroom was incredibly small (for one person it was perfect). The Kensington Park is steps to the corner of Powell and Post (across the street from Union Square) and a Cable Car stop. Three blocks from the closes Walgreens. My room faced the back of the hotel and it was very quiet.

"In theater district, excellent location"
The rooms are modern and we had a fabulous experience. The Adagio is 2.5 blocks from Union Square, smack in the middle of the theater district. It is surrounded by dozens of restaurants, clubs, and other hotels. Great location! If you wander two blocks over you hit the Tenderloin district with a large homeless population - best if you don't go there unknowingly. We initially had a single queen room but all single queen rooms are next to the loud elevator. If you are a light sleeper you may want to take that into consideration. We asked if it was possible to move us and they were incredibly helpful and managed to find us a new room.

"Beautiful hotel close to everything"
The only complaint is that the rooms are very small for the money. Bathroom is really tiny.

The room was somewhat small. The elevator was also a little bit cramped. Otherwise the stay was very enjoyable and comfortable.

"Great location and Great staff!"
Stayed here on a friends recommendation for the location, as we were bringing my 89 year old uncle here from Texas for his birthday. Upon arrival, he found a birthday dessert waiting in his room. One night we were going to dinner close by, and my uncle was overheard to say he didn't know if he was up for walking. Suddenly we were getting into the hotel's limo, being driven to our dinner! Lovely and thoughtful personal touches is why we liked this hotel so much! And of course the location by Union Square close to everything! Will definitely stay here again!

The image of San Francisco’s fog-swept waterfront will stick with you long after you head for home.

Head out into the fog and visit the Ferry Building Marketplace, located along the Embarcadero on the northeastern side of the city. Not only is this the main artery for ferry traffic heading into the city, it’s also home to a wonderful farmers market full of fresh local produce, meats, and much more. You can sit down for a delicious breakfast, or stock up on goods to bring back to your hotel for later consumption. As the fog lifts, go west to the Marina District. Here’s where you’ll find upscale shopping, along with a beautiful waterfront park and a view of San Francisco Bay, Alcatraz Island, and the Golden Gate Bridge.

Any trip to the big city means a visit to Union Square is in order. It’s not just a great place for shopping, though the square is home to many prominent boutiques and department stores. It’s also full of restaurants and cafes, and there’s always something going on, including a Christmas tree and menorah lighting during the winter and art shows in the summer. The magic continues in a San Francisco boutique hotel; when you stay in one, you’ll enjoy custom styling, little touches like unique artwork, and meals cooked from locally grown produce.

No matter what time of year you decide to travel, Expedia.ca will get you there with big savings. You’ll get our Best Price Guarantee when you book a hotel in San Francisco, leaving you with more money in your pocket to spend on the important things like another fine meal at Union Square.
