"Relaxing & Comfortable"
Had a great four nights at this hotel. Delicious and unique breakfast each morning. Comfortable room with cozy fireplace, porch with full beach view. Right on the beach, great for morning walks and sunset. Enjoyed the evening appetizers and a glass a wine that was provided.

"Grateful Dead & Half Moon Bay"
Worth every penny. Staff was insanely friendly. One of the top hotels I've ever stayed in. $47 a day to park is a bit high, but good service costs money. This is a STELLAR place to visit/stay. Only 40 minutes to the airport and Levi's Stadium.

""COMFORT" Inn....name says it all"
Staff is friendly and location is good. Rooms are clean. We were in a room where the table lamp is not working. We didn't tell front desk because we didn't use the lamp. My son, husband and I had breakfast at 9:30 am one day and food (sausage and eggs) is cold. And was out of original pancake batter. When I asked the lady in the kitchen area, she brought out sausage but mixed with the cold ones and she plugged in the machine to warm the food. Sausages were chewy so we went to Joe's for breakfast. Then she had poured blackberry pancake mix for us when we asked for original but we didn't eat it because my son was allergic to berries. I find the bathroom counter too crowded, perhaps move the microwave somewhere else, like put the microwave on top of mini fridge and move to corner for hanging clothes. Move the clothes hanger to other side of the wall where mirror is. And affix the mirror on the bathroom door. Just my suggestions. It will be nice if you can put a pool and jacuzzi in. Overall, it was nice stay. If we ever go to Half Moon Bay again for family vacation, we will defnitely stay at Comfort Inn. Thank you,

"Quant European style hotel in excellent location"
17 years since my last stay and pleased that it just as I remembered it. This quant hotel is European style with tiny rooms, shared bathrooms and a walk up so keep that in mind and don't expect it to be the sterile corporate environment of chain hotels. It's history is everywhere from the decor to the art work. It's Victorian in nature. Staff is friendly and helpful. With friendly traveller as its guests rather then uptight tourists. I highly recommend it. I'll be back!

When it comes to SF beaches, it all boils down to your style preferences.

For an all-around good option, check out Ocean Beach. This stretch of sand is the largest of the beaches in the city and gives you a distinct feeling of freedom from the hustle and bustle of town. This beach is also a favourite of surfers if you want to hop on a board, or perhaps just watch the pros slice through the water. Desire something a little more scandalous? Make your way to Baker Beach. Considered the “nude beach” of the city, this side of the shore is a favourite amongst bold locals. Prefer something a little more PC? Head down to East Beach, nicknamed China Beach. This spot is considered the most family friendly, as the waters are shallow and there are lifeguards on duty during the summer. This sandy area also includes grills and picnic benches, if you’re looking for a place to BBQ before hitting the waves.

Once you’re ready to wash the sand off, head back to your cozy San Francisco beach hotel. Whether you want a spot right along the shore or you’d like a place more inland, book right here on Expedia.ca for the top discounts on hotels in San Francisco.

No matter if you want a morning beach run in the fog or an afternoon sunbathing session, count on San Francisco beaches to offer you what you need.
