I really liked this hotel. There's no maid service or restaurant. But you have a kitchenette and a small dining and living area in addition to the small bedroom, and it's remarkably quiet (my room was toward the back of the building). It's also convenient to Union Square.
I had to stay there for 2 nights and 2 different rooms not the blame of the hotel but my job. The first room was a lot nicer then the second room, with the pool view. The second room was decent on the first floor but we saw that there was an ice skating ring across the way. First room was clean, more modern and comfortable the second was so and so needed upgrades
I loved this apartment! It way way more spacious than I expected and my favorite style. We could just take the vintage elevator down and be in the heart of the city. A wonderful experience and we will always stay at the Steinhart when in the city.
Pleasant staff. Large clean rooms. Family of five fit comfortably. Close to freeway and grocery store. Was a great 'home base' for our forays into the city. Included breakfast and occasional meals in the kitchenette tampered the high price of eating out in San Francisco.
"Excellent location. Close to everything. Staff XNT"
It was our 1st vacación in downtown SF. There are tons of things to see there and The Mosser is close to almost everything and most of all it's next to trolley buses, buses, cable cars and the BART so transportación is not an issue.
The only not so good experience was with EXPEDIA, not the hotel. The agent said to me nothing about having a room with no bathroom. I was supposed to share w/other 2 guests. I had to pay for an upgrade to get into our room (not pleasent) when I thought I had my budget under control. Your (Expedia) goal is not to sell but to satisfy customers!!
